no i don't believe that.. its all superstition.. I have a black cat his name is Midnite.. And one thing i learned did you know there really isnt such a thing as a black cat.. Just really really dark brown that it looks black.. I never noticed that before.. my black cat.. when the sun is hitting him.. he has a brownish tint to him. but normally he just looks black.. just a little info.. that i learned.. about black cats.. But they are not bad luck i don't think.. If anything maybe good luck.. ?

Of course not! Some of my best friends have been black cats and they have been wonderful creatures and have taught me a lot. Most superstitions are just made from coincidences where somthing bad happened, and all of a sudden it's bad luck. Black cats are great!

This is an old superstition as you said but the people believe in it. There are many superstitions about black cats which cross your way before it is said too to bring bad luck. Me personally i believe those superstitions and i try to not encounter a black cat in my way. Good luck!

Here in the UK the supestitiion is that black cats bring good luck! If a black cat crosses your path it is meant to bring you good fortune and monetary wealth. However, there is a superstition here that white cats bring bad luck. Personally I donlt believe any of it! I used to have a beautiful black cat - my best friend has a pure white one - and I now have 5 cats including a black and white one! Cats are cats whatever their colour - they are all beautiful in my opinion!

No absoltely not. When I was a kid I always had to have a black cat because I thought they were lucky and beautiful. Now I like all kinds of cats. They say black cats are common and they were not hard to come by when I was a child but for some reason, there rare where I live now.

No, I have owned black cats before and they have never brought me bad luck, I think though if you believe in something enough it can come true, it all depends on if you really want to believe it.

frankly i agree with you totally.i think that black cats have been insulted like this by us for a very long time.i do not think that black cats bring bad luck or anything like that!chk out the links!

No, black cats don't bring bad luck. Bad luck is just that-bad luck. Cats have nothing to do with it. It's one of those old superstition tales.

I don't believe in it.Why? Simply because I have had black cats cross my path all the time( then I pet them =) ),and so far, I don't seem to suffer bad luck from it.Not even coincidences. In fact, sometimes I run into a little luck after meeting one of these little fellows.

If it helps =). If you really have doubts about superstitions and the lot, it's simple. Simply test them out for a try ,to see if they are actually true. Break a mirror and suffer seven years of bad luck? Unlikely. Walk under an open ladder? Well, the most the guy on top might accidently fall on you. Most of them are untrue, but have been popularised by the word of mouth through many years, so much so that they become part of tradition,somewhat, much like urban myths.

no, i do not think black cats bring bad luck. i have been around black cats for years. my folks have them, i have them, my friends have them. nothing unlucky about a black cat

the first cat i ever had was a black one and i do not beleive they bring bad luck. I did notice though that alot of people who came to see us were superstitious about her. I think that you attract your luck, so if your constantly thinking that seeing a black cat for instance is bad luck then your prolly gonna have bad luck because the thought was in the back of your mind.

No I don not believe black cats give bad luck. To me I think opposite! Black cats are beautiful, black is also my favorite color! I don't know where that supersition came about. I think more of the witch delemia and witches are known to have black cats... But I don't care. Im not supersitious.

I think that black cats bring good luck and lots of it! I have always had solid black or black and white cats since I was young. They all have been fabulous and I feel blessed. This feeling is definitely an old superstition.
