Super Simple Pea Salad

A quick and easy recipe that's great for bachelors and students and anyone in a hurry to get something on the table.

That sounds really really strange to a non US palate! It seems to be tinned peas with processed cheese and artificial mayonnaise. Did I read it right? Maybe its nicer than it sounds but it brings to mind mushy metallic tasting peas with greasy chunks in it.
I can however imagine it with fresh garden peas, preferably raw but ligtly cooked otherwise, mixed with homemade mayonnaise and some crumbled carephilly or wensleydale cheese. As a smallside dish to a leaft salad I can imagine that might be rather nice
Maybe I'm just hungry and can't properly appreciate the possibilities of this, I'm not a huge fan of processed food and the concept of peas ina tin is quite funny to me! Don't mean to be rude about it though if it is a favourite of yours.

I haven't tried this but it sounds good. I think I might use frozen peas,they have more taste.

It all seems to be what we grew up with that we get used to. I never had frozen peas until I was an adult, and they taste strange to me. Then again, I can enjoy a fresh pea or two from the garden, but more than a handful makes me gag.

i like pea salad. i always add a little onion & boiled eggs to mine. will try the cheese. thanks.
