What do you believe becomes of us in the afterlife? There will be alot of different perspectives on this I am sure. So NO judging eachother!...Let's all just listen to every view and simply learn, what another persons take on it is. peace.....I can't wait to hear what you have to say. I have way to many things that I believe about it all, so I will respond throughout the discussions about what I think of it all!

I've done a lot of wondering and thinking about it, and I'm pretty certain that we're reincarnated. It just feels right to me and makes the most sense. I feel like I've had lives before this one, and I like the idea that we continue to live on after our physical bodies die, and continue to experience life. I know I could be wrong, but I figure I'll find out eventually!

i believe too that we are reincarnated , i feel that our souls are reborn i dont think we are just given one shot and then heaven or hell i think we have many lifetimes of rying to get it right guess we wont know either way but i would hate it if there was a god that would condeme you to hell just because you were born in a family that did not worship the right god and you hadnt taken him as your savior but were all in all a decent person

I too believe in reincarnation as a choice we have in the afterlife. If I decide to come back...I think I'd be a deaf, white house cat....that would ROK!!!

According to the Bible, one only goes to hell for refusing Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Savior. Meaning that one only goes to hell if one so chooses.

That's right. The sad fact is, it's actually provable but when you get that close to the real thing, folks freak out and fight against it. Go figure.

I am going to heaven, to be with Jesus, forever. I am really glad that God has not given me the job of judging where other people go. That is his job alone. I believe in the resurrection, where we are known and will be known. I also believe that many of us will be surprised at who we meet in heaven. My brother the pastor had a funny joke along this line when he was in seminary. I will post it in another discussion. Peace.

i personally would say no we are all not going to hell. I don't think the Lord is looking for perfect people, just people looking to be perfect in their own right. I know that i am not without sin, yet I know that everyday i strive to be a better child of The Lord, person, mother, daughter, sister, and wife. I know there will be some things i must answer for, but i dont think they will keep my out of Heaven.

Only one source gives us a definitive answer and that's the Holy Bible. All others give you all kinds of rules and explanations but none say how to save your own soul. Problem is, people don't realize what they are. They see a body and think that's the end of all and that's not so. We are spirit that just happens to be living in a body. So where does that spirit go, when the body gives up on us? We have to go someplace. These are things I can prove just by things you, yourself, experience constantly but give no mind because 'it's always been that way and we don't know any different'. So according to the Bible, you either understand you are eternal and recognize that there is only one way given to live on. The choices are always ours.

You are brilliant!....we do not realize what we are and as we do UNDERSTAND this planet, this lifetime and ultimately "what we are" our possibilities as boundless. We are what we want to "be" here and are given the FULL TIME luxury to do it here on planet earth. It is all about our choices leading to our intention thus leading us to our experience, now right here, or where and whenever we choose. No matter if people are "religious" or not the should all familiarize themselves with the bible. I believe that no matter what you believe in, the good book...has ALOT OF GOOD ideas, intentions, metaphors, experiences, suggestions and much much more. Do I believe in God? of course!...just what God "is"? Well there is just no saying for sure. If mankind was "made" in his image.....then shouldn't we all be working "over time" to figure out just what in the heck WE are? When we know this, we will comprehend what God is! thank you so much for these words of wisdom! Dissposition

I do not believe in hell, wherein those who have been unworthy to the Lord will suffer eternally. When we die, we wait. That totally contradicts the idea of ghosts that's why i don't believe in ghosts too. i think those wandering around scaring people are demons pretending to be our departed loved ones. when judgement day comes, we will be judged based on our faith and doings and the righteous will live an eternal life in a paradise on earth, while those who don't fit the qualificaton will simply cease to exist. that;s the basic belief of the religion i used to belong to. but i also quit that because one day i just realized i don't want to live forever in a paradise playing with tamed lions and eating fruit and crops. i'll just be making the most of my time here.

I think that what you believe in the deepest part of you will happen is what will happen for you. If you believe in reincarnation, you get to come back. If you believe you're going to heaven, you go to heaven. etc....sort of the mother of all self fulfilling prophecies....I'm leaning toward reincarnation for my personal afterlife. Don't think I'm bad enough for hell but not quite good enough for heaven which might get a little boring anyway. Guess I think of reincarnation as a little like purgatory.

There will be many in hell but I am trying very hard not to be one of them. I find it very upsetting when I hear people say they don't believe in god because I know what will happen to them. I would never put down others beliefs but just try to be the best Christian I could and teach as many as I can about Jesus.

connie, you say that you would never put down anyone elses beliefs, but in basically saying that anyone who doesn't believe in god is going to hell, you are doing just that

Yaa almost all religions believe in the presence of hell. It is said that if person engages in sins will be put to hell and is supposed to undergo various punishments, the punishment can also include taking birth and undergo all the sufferings. But if a person who have commited many sins then realises and completely surrenders to god and does his worship is relieved from all the sins when his level of devotion reaches the peak. But life of some people on earth is not less than any hellish punishment and certail places on the earth where people live is not less than hell. So better is to do good deeds and be devoted to god and have a good life as well as a good end.

We are all taught from childhood 'do your best and leave the rest to God'. Should we do the right things only if there is fear of hell and happiness of heaven. And if this is the case, have we learnt anything more than children? Probably the world we live in is hell and the afterlife is always heaven. It is we who make our lives hell or well and we suffer for the bad deeds we do in this life itself in different ways. We are our own gods and demons making hells and heavens for ourselves.

Afterlife...... My view is quite simple......God judges you what you did in this life which he awarded to you....depending on your doings he chooses Either Heaven for you or Hell. But its not that if u are more of a sinner and less of an angel type. Maybe your less number of good deeds maybe Good enough to overcome your sins and you may go to heaven or maybe your more number of good deeds straight away taking you to heaven. Another possibilty is that though u may do more but one or some of ur sins may over come the Good Deeds ! thats all i can say rite now Cheers ;-)

Well my personal opinion of what happens after we die is this, we find what we expect. So if you expect to be going to hell that is where you will go. If you are expecting to be sitting on a cloud strumming a harp then you'll be there too. It is our thoughts and expectations that form where we end up. If you don't believe in an afterlife then there won't be one for you. That simple. The same for any other belief. Vahalla, the Happy Hunting Grounds, the Elysian Fields, whatever it is you plan to find afterwards is what will be there. I for one plan on going to the Summerlands until such time as I will be reincarnated.

ya but they all get it in the end!....I believe that "dung-beatles" may the the souls of the "less-blissfull" souls that escape "re-payment" in this lifetime. If these people didn't get away with it here...then who would take care of all the dung when it's time to come back? lol....Dissposition
