Does he deserve forgiveness? Oh come on!

My friend went overseas to work. He remained faithful to his wife for the first 2 years, came home and went back again for another job contract, this time a little longer. After 3 yrs. he had a relationship with a woman, his point is, he says he loves his wife very much, but he has some physical needs that need to be met. Must the wife forgive him? are his reasons good enough to justify his acts and merit forgiveness?

I would say to your friend to leave him. I had been going out with a girl for only a few weeks and over christmas got very drunk and kissed another girl in front of her. I then told her I wouldn't ask her to take me back, and besides a couple of texts have not contacted her since. If someone did that to my sister or one of my friends I'd tell them to leave, so can't do the opposite and aske her to take me back. If he loved her he would have stayed faithful.. and there's no telling he won't do it again.

I like your last statement "there's no telling he won't do it again" Right! what's the guarantee? He did it once, he can do it again especially when he knows you are going to receive him back again with open arms. Thanks for your comment.
