Set days for chores

I don't usually have set days that I do anything. Because with seven children, something always needs to be done. LOL Laundry, if left more than two days, is horrible trying to catch up with. Toys, papers, crayons, dolls, and such can be found at any time while walking through the house. But, I do have a schedule for the children. :) I have found that having a chart and making each of them have a certain choare a day makes it much easier. That is...there are seven of them, so at any one time, there are many making a mess. But since they have chores, they know what it means to clean up and no longer leave too much of a mess that I can't keep up with. One chore that does have a set day is giving the dogs a bath. It must be done in the weekend because I need help now that there are two of them. :)

I tried to divide my chores into different days, but it is hard to stick to my schedule! I get busy doing other things, so I am off right now. I am going to try to get back at it though. Monday-living room, Tuesday-bedrooms, Wednesday-master bed, Thursday-bathrooms, Friday-kitchen and then I try to vacuum every other day! It's exhausting!!! lol

I do have set day for my chores as I do laundry on saturdays as well as vaccuming and dusting the house. I do bathroom cleanups twice a week - wednesday and sundays. I clean the kitchen area on sundays as well. Sometimes I have to alter the days depending on work and my other responsibilities but for the most part I stick to the schedule.

We do not have any set days. If something needs to be done, you do it. My husband is a neat freak and keeps the house tidy, so no worries on my end! When we are working we will do a thorough job of cleaning the house on Saturday morning, if we aren't planning to venture off for the day. In such a case we would do it on Sunday.

I used to clean my house every Saturday. Now with all the animals I have and the two kids(a 14 year old and a 38 year old.lol), it seems like it is an every day thing.

I'm so not into schedules that it's funny. I get up, do what I want, look around to see what needs done, get it done, if I feel like it I do it, if not I don't. I'm definitely at the point in my life where I do for ME and my kids and don't give a crap about the rest of the world and what they want! lol I think it comes with nearly dying from cancer. You just decide there are so many other things in life that are worth getting upset about. If my biggest issue is a dirty dish in the sink, I better rethink my life.

We have set days in our house for certain chores. In the kitchen we have a dry erase board where we keep ther chores listed. There are seven of us, but only six do chores. We cycle through them everyday and there is even a chore for being the helper for anyone that need help! But things like the laundry get done every couple days...the stairs being vaccumed every month at least...and giving the dogs a bath every weekend! :D We usually have a busy schedule! :DD

I usually do my regular laundry on Wednesdays and the sheets on weekends. Other than this every other chore is done only when I feel like it...hehe..I can be very lazy sometimes and be a "procrastinator"...but I come around quickly and get things done, the neatness freak that I am!
