Help Me Name My New Fish! / myLot

Hi! I have a blue tetra named Sheridan. Since I found out tetras are schooling fish, I just brought home a little buddy for him. What name would go with Sheridan? I would love some suggestions from fellow pet lovers! Thanks in advance! :-)

If you like the soap opera Passions, you might name him Luis, as Sheridan is always trying to keep him away from all other women. I like Billy that another member mentioned, as it really fits the fish. The American Idol names made me laugh and certainly would never forget them.

When I was little I had goldfish and named them after the Three Stooges! LOL Guess I had more imagination then!

Hi! Oh, I never thought of that. It reminds me of a drink that was popular in the 80s (before my time LOL). It was called a brain and it was made by pouring Bailey's Irish cream into peppermint schnapps (or maybe it was the other way round, but those were the ingredients). The only real way to drink it was to chug it. I've heard it was good. Thanks for replying!

OK I wouldn't call this quality material LOL but I will contribute. My daughter has 3 goldfish and she named them Paula, Randy and Simon from American Idol. These fish have lasted forever. I remember when my son had fish a couple of months tops but she has had them for 2 years.

You're right! LOL Just a bit of fluff for a Friday afternoon. Anyway, goldfish will live several years if properly cared for. I'm not saying yours weren't, fish just die for various unknown reasons even when they receive the best of care. I just lost a baby parrotfish and I did everything I could to save him and there weren't any other sick fish in the tank, so ???? That's the way with fish!

I love the name sheridan. 1st thing that came to my mind was Nicolette. LOL, how 'bout Eva? or Sheena, Shipley, Shaina or Shem if you want to stay with the Sh. Other's I like are Ripley, Magoo, or Ingo. Let us know what you pick!

Thanks! The name actually came from a brit-com I watch. It just dawned on me one day that it would make a great name for a fish. Another character on the show is named Onslow. I was thinking of that, too. Kind of stuffy for a fish???? I like Magoo, that's really cute! Thanks for replying!
