My 7 year old son is driving me crazy. Since he was 5 he loves to talk about body parts and functions. I am so tired of it. I have make it clear that I do not want to hear anymore about it. Everyone has parts and yes they fart and burp too. He still thinks it is so funny. Does anyone else have this problem? When will it stop? Any suggestions?

Stop????? Does it ever stop? My daughter is 35 years old, and normal body functions is what makes her day complete. It does taper off, but will always remain a conversation piece when the chance arises.

Both my sons do that too (They are 5 and 3.) They love doing it at an inappropriate time too. I try to tell them that we do not say those things around other people. My oldest is getting a clue and only does it at home in front of us, but my youngest has seemed to be getting worse. Instead of the terrible two's with him we are having the terrible three's!

I have and would do this again. my 4 yr old daughter is like this. when ever she gets potty mouth I put a drop of tobasco sauce on her tongue. wait a min and if needed then give her some milk to cool the heat. It works for awhile.

The best thing to do is ignore it. Once he realises that he is not going to get a reaction from you he will get bored and stop. But be warned, he will then move onto something else. My son is 13 yrs and he still constantly winds me up!! Good luck!!!
