Here's what little I know on the subject. Clorox is a brand name. What you need to watch for is whether you are purchasing chlorine bleach or non-chlorine bleach. Non-chlorine bleach is gentler on your clothes and is great for keeping whites white. But it won't get rid of stains. Chlorine bleach is great for restoring whites that have turned dingy, but it is harsher on your clothes and you don't want to use it on delicates. I hope this helps.
