I'm a yarn addict, constantly looking for new supplies regardless of whats stashed in cupboards. I've sourced some great internet sites, and basically looking for more recommendations, especially ones that ship internationally at bargain prices!

If you tell us what country you are in that may help. Not all vendors ship internationally. Or if they did, shipping might be so high it wipes out any savings you'd get from buying the yarn on sale. Make sure you read their return policy in case you get a bad batch of yarn. And remember, not all countries have the same quality controls. Make sure you ask if the yarn is color fast or you may find the colors run if you get caught in the rain or rub off on your skin if you sweat. Buyer beware and all that.

Thanks. I've bought from Turkey,U.S.and the U.K. so far no problems. I find the handpainted wool can leave dye marks especially scarves! So far the best bargains are on ebay sites, and more secure. I live in Ireland, and a good supplier is www.springwools.com in Dublin. I think they have standard shipping rates and if you sign up as a member 3/4 times a year you get sales leaflets. Their packs are normally good value.

In the UK Texere yarns are good, but most of my wool comes from ebay or from charity shops or I spin it myself. I do sometimes indulge in organic locally produced wool when I can get it, but it is expensive so I save that for very special projects usually. I love wool, the stash is slowly filling up the house and I can't nit fast enough to keep up with it!

I have never quite understood why it's okay to be a yarn addict. If you had any other addiction people would not encourage you to indulge more in your addiction. Knit the yarn you do have or give it away if you aren't going to use it.

i also love shopping for yarn and knitting supplies i love to go to yard sales and find old knitting stuff for really cheap prices if i find a good deal on yarn or needles i just cannot pass it up walmart has some ok deals on yarn that they put on clearance most of the time i have never shopped online for any kind of yarn and knitting supplies i like being able to see and feel what i am getting before i spend the money on it but if that is a cheaper route to go than shopping in a physical store i might need to switch

I am a major yarn addict, I have storage containers of yarn, but I still want more. If I see yarn on sale,I buy more. I just bought 20 skeins of fun fur at Joanns. Michaels is having a sale this week,so I will be stopping there. Have you tried mary maxim or Herrschners?

I LOVE yarn shopping. I have so many balls of yarn in my basement but still can not get enough! I have found some great yarn on etsy. My favorate is alpaca. I have not been able to find a good source for that though.

I would suggest knitpicks.com or elann.com for VERY inexpensive and yet good quality yarns.
