I haven't gone to india but i think poverty happened everywhere!!!.. Here in the Philippines, we are included in the 3rd world country... There is a high rate of unemployment and birth rate... However, people are striving to over poverty, some people work abroad leaving their family... Thanks!!!

I've never been to India, but I live in Mexico, where poverty is also a major problem; due to a high birth rate and generations of economic abuse by the USA and other countries. One bright spot for Mexico is that many Mexicans are able to find Employment in the USA, especially in the states of the USA that the US took from Mexico after the US started a war with Mexico in 1846. The USA conquered territory which now consists of the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and parts of Wyoming and Texas. (The rest of Texas was annexed from Mexico prior to the Mexican American war.) Paradoxically, many residents of the USA resent the poverty stricken Mexicans who find employment illegally in the parts of the USA which are former Mexican territory. The amounts of money sent back to Mexico each year by Mexicans working in the USA exceeds the entire Mexican Gross National Product. As a resident of Mexico with US roots, I am constantly impressed by the tremendous work ethic of the Mexican people. One of my favorite movies is "A Day Without a Mexican", which shows what it might be like in California if all the Mexicans were to suddenly disappear.
