What food do you feed your dog? Dry, moist, or wet? What brand, and why did you pick that brand? I will be rating each response only. Thank you.

My Three - Healthy and happy
Dry Iams or Science Diet. They have the best nutrition ratings with less fillers. Less filler mean less poop as their systems are absorbing more good stuff and less junk

dog food, golden bits - kibble on the large size for my big boys that alert me to the goings on on my property
We buy 50 pounds of dog food called Golden Bits. It is dry, kibble form and we have scraps from our dinners we add to it for variety. We add some canned wet food in the winter when they need more calories for heat etc. We like to treat them with formed dog bones and purchased package treats too. They are not fat and they clean their plates with little waste. When they reduce food intake due to warmer weather we reduce what we feed them.

Pedigree chum - steeped in warm water. Recommended by the vet as it keeps the dos's coat nice and chiny and is healthy also for teeth and bones.

We buy the wet pedigree kind for our dog that stays inside cause she's picky and that's all she will eat. We have tried lots of different kinds with her and she will go hungry before she eats them so we have to buy this certain kind for her. Then our dog outside eats dry dog food and we just usually get what's on sale for her. She'll eat any kind so we don't buy just one brand.

The sale one, is it good quality? Why does one stay outside?

I don't understand how this is a discussion when the person that started it is not going to be replying, only rating answers. To me it is against Mylot discussion guidelines.

Hi margie, well for brekkie my dog has dry food, a bone bikkie for lunch (and he knows when it is lunchtime) and for dinner some meat roll and I boil the pealings from vegies, and mash them up with his roll. He has never had canned food in the 9 years we have had him, and seems to be thriving.

I give my dog Blue Buffalo brand dry food with 1 can of chicken and & vegetable (also Blue Buffalo) mixed in. I used to feed her Nutro Lamb and Rice, but looking at the ingredients, Blue Buffalo makes a superior product. It has less fillers, less sugars, and more protein derived straight from chickens! Over all, of course, is that my dog much prefers the taste of Blue Buffalo to Nutro. I purchase Blue Buffalo at Petsmart. They stock it near the Royal Canin.
