In India here ppl have started celebrating this day relatively late, not all of us here knew abt it in our schooldays. I always dreamt of having my valentine when in school and now that I'm happiuly married with kids to my valentine, I have been trying to make this day special for us both every year by trying to do things this day, that shes been doin all year round for me, I love to cook for my family this day, n eat together at home with candle lights on, obviously with roses brought by me for my wife placed on the centre of the table. There's really something special in the air this day, n I hope it remains like that for all who love life, n family n frired, forever n ever

Well you certainly have a beautiful heart. I am sure your wife and family appreciate you very much. I am married 30 years, and it is wonderful and special still. We are loving all year, but especially on a birthday or Valentines day. Thank you for your reply and hope you and your family enjoy Valentines day to the fullest.

Because I actually like Valentine's Day, I've created a ritual that will even work for those who don't have a romantic partner when this holiday comes around... The Bath -------- You might just want to get clean, but this Bath is for more, much more than that... As water flows into your bathing vessel, say this: Water, you are the Giver and Keeper of All Life and without Thee, Love Itself would be difficult... As your Essense pours into this vessel, may your Life Giving Love pour into Me and fill my very Soul to overflow and spill into The World... Add Epsom salts to your bath and scent it with a pot of your favorite tea, if you like bubbles, now is the time to add them... Light some scented candles, turn of the lights and put on the music you love... climb in and meditate on The Gratefulness that you have for Love Past,Present and to Be... The Breakfast ------------- You are going to feel kinda "floppy" after a nice, long soak in Epson salted water... so take a moment to get your coordination settled again... Pan Seared Smelts French Omelette w/Nova Salmon Filet(s) Desert Crepes w/Fruit and Creme Fresh Coffee w/Chocolate Cherry Splash All these recipes may be found at http://www.chefs.com The Loving ---------- The possibilities of The Loving are endless and well documented! :) If you have a partner(s) be sure to prepare for a new and pleasurable surprise together in the next few weeks... I say do it together, because you should know what this particular plesure may fully entail, without the shock or surprise factor... For Self Love, try some of the newest Toys and get ahold of the latest advice form some of the new groups on the Internet, who faithfully practice this... Whatever you do, Remember this: An act of Love was the beginning of us all... and get a rush out of the fact that this Holiday, you can actually tell someone to "Go get l*id!" in a nice way and actually get a smile back for it! :)

Do you know I can't remember the last time I got a Valentine's card, in my 35 years on this earth, I think I've received 2 or 3 Valentines cards, says it all really! So as you can imagine I don't do anything for Valentine's Day, to me its just another day and I don't even acknowledge that it is Valentine's Day either. I'm not that romantic anyhow and I guess I've never found anyone to be romantic to.

My partner's birthday is Valentine's day. So, we don't really celebrate Velentine's day but rather his birthday. It is like any other birthday with cake and presents. We usually go out to dinner also. Last year because I am not currently working, I put together a care package for him of his favorite snack foods and delivered it to his work. He was set with snacks for a month and had enough to share with co-workers! :)

Valentine week is a special week for us, we met on 13th Feb, and our first “Date” was 14th Feb. Our wedding anniversary is the 9th Feb. We may not do anything exactly on the 14th but we tend to do small gestures for each other. This year is our 16th Wedding anniversary, 19 years together. I’m trying to plan a romantic weekend away. Child care is arranged. Now trying to find accommodation that will fit into our budget.

That's wonderful. And happy anniversary a little in advance. I hope you will find that special place you can afford. The best thing is that you are both in love and will be together alone somewhere. Enjoy.

My other half & me usually end up doing something special for Valentines Day. Every year he comes up with some new idea on how to surprise me, it's so incredibly sweet. I remember how on Valentines Day.. I believe it was last year.. When my other half had decorated our place.. He traced out his feet on some pink construction paper & he then cut them out.. And put the reasons why he loves me on these traced out feet. He as well covered the floor with red rose petals.. He as well had my favorite band playing in the background.. And he made me go & step on all of the feet he traced out. They we're placed all around our place so I went one by one reading them while stepping on them.. I then got to the kitchen & it said open the fridge.. So I had & there was a dozen red roses in the fridge.. They we're so stunning.. He then had candles lit all the way to our bedroom.. And told me to come in.. I walked in & he had a bunch of balloons all over the room, but a pile on our bed.. Each balloon had something written in it.. All of them had an explanation on what he loves about me.. He made me pop all of the balloons to get to the sayings to.. It was incredibly sweet.. After I had popped all of the balloons there was a special ring in the middle.. I'll never forget what he had done for Valentines Day then.. This year I think we may be renting a hotel room for the evening.. And he has something special planned there as well.. I want to do some baking for him as well.. Maybe make a heart shaped cake, or heart shaped, yet decorated cookies.. Since he loves my baking.. I'm always making something new when I bake & he loves this about me.. But I may also make some chocolate covered strawberries for him.. And then feed them to him or we will share them together when we are in the hotel. We may also go out for a romantic dinner.. We both love this one restaurant that has a romantic atmosphere, but also serves pasta, which is our favorite dinner to eat together.. So over-all I am looking forward to seeing what he comes up with this year.. He tends to be rather romantic sometimes.. He surprises me when I least expect it.. Which is better than me knowing when he is going to be romantic.. haha.. I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day as well.. And thank you for allowing me to share my experience! . .

I will be doing something special for my fiance. I'm not exactly sure what to do yet. But I make sure to stay away from the stores and always make something from the heart. One year, I wrote the story of our relationship for him (as I am a writer, and thought it fitting). One year I made him a journal to harbor his own feelings without my prying eyes and ears to interfere all the time. This year I'm thinking about making some sort of special silkscreen print, but I can't quite figure out what I want to do. I know that it will be perfect, once I find the right things to say or show.

Well, i think i need to get a valentines card for my hubby and maybe i'll just need to cook a special meal for my hubby at that day or maybe treat him for a meal out. Last year, he surprised me with a big teddy bear with i love you in front of it and then later on at that day a delivery of a bunch of lovely roses.

I have decided that I will make a bouquet of heart-shaped cookie flowers for each of my kids families. They will enjoy the cookies and having them on a stick will be unique.

Oh I wish I could!! My husband doesn't believe in Valentine's day..he says its just hogwash and most of the time the world utilises that day to make money (like restaurants, gift stores etc) But last year we were just married by Valentine's day so not to disapoint me we went out for dinner. I think that was thoughtful of him. I'm sure we aren't celebrating it this year though..lol! I'm doing special things for my hubby all year long, so it shouldn't matter if I don't do it on one day!

My fiance does so much for me and he is a great dad. to my two boys and to the son we have together. he is just a great guy and he has brought a lot of joy to our lives. he makes sure that we have things we need and he just loves me so much. so for this valentines day instead of him pampering me, I think I am gonna pamper him.. he really deserves it. I am not 100% sure on everything I am going to do but I know I will be cooking him the most amazing dinner and making sure he doesnt have to lift a finger to do anything that day.. he helps me so much around here so this year is all about him :)

I will do something special for each of my children (usually some little candies or something), I will do something special for my husband, but the part that thrills me most is: I buy 10-12 single roses and go to the local nursing home. There are 10 (or last year there were 10, I always take a few extra roses just in case..) residents who have no family. I go to each of those residents and give them a rose and tell them happy valentines day and spend some time with them. It absolutely makes my day! Those residents are there day in and day out with no one to visit them. I feel like it may only be one day a year, but I can do my part!
