i was just watching the late news on tv and it had a clip of Bindi and Terry Irwin on the Ellen Show in america. She is over there to do some shows and she said to Ellen that she wants to be just like her dad....so for all those who think shes being pushed into it....think again...she positively beamed when saying it...it shows she feels strongly about it....i wish her luck and even though they both miss Steve....they continue because of him .

I saw parts of this as well and it was very interesting. Bindi is so much like her father and part of that comes from the fact that she was an "only child" for several years before Bob was born. She certainly did it very well and my only hope is that she is allowed some time to be a child and in fact her mother and family should insist that she has some time out. Some friends grandchildren go to the same school as Bindi and they say that Steve and Terri were very involved with the school etc, which is good too as the family will also get support from there too. I wish them all the very best and repeat that I hope Bindi does get some time out from all the publicity and the Zoo, just to be a little girl for a while longer.

You will be pleased to hear, just as I was, that young Bindi does have some semblance of normal life. She visits friends and they visit her, even during the school holidays. Or at least they did before she went overseas and now our friends tell us that all the other kids at school are looking foward to hearing about her trip when she gets back to school.

i dont think bindi knows how to do anything else but i agree, i do hope she gets to enjoy childhood still...and hope she has a few friends her age that she can take time out with and just have fun.

Bindi Irwin is an amazing child who is the result of very loving parents I am sure. To watch her being interviewed recently and seeing how she responded to some certain questions that were thrown at her I have nothing but admiration for her. She would definately make her Dad proud and to anyone who thinks she is going to be affected by all this well hope this is proven wrong! She has good support and she will make it. Well done to Bindi.

it would be nice if the media left her to what she wants to do (even if it is shows at the Australia Zoo and overseas) but she doesnt need to be doing so many interviews and stuff which bring up Steve.

and you you know what? she will suceed. Good on her. I know what its like loosing ya dad and for me it was private grielf but still wnat dad to be proud of me, Bindi is no different and just caue her dad was famous doesnt mean that she shouldnt live out her dreams and aspirations. She will always be compared to Steve as he was such a warrior for conservation but i hope that Bindi does well and with the mum she has i dont think its possible for her to become all puffy headed etc, terri wont let that happen

Steve Irwin did a wonderful job education people about various animals and I'm sure he displayed such passion that Bindi would want that same passion. I hope she does go on and continue his work.

ive been watching the different shows they have been putting on as a tribute to Steve, and i do see that passion in bindi - even when she was a toddler with Steve. it was amazing to watch.

At first my partner and I were a little concerned that there might be too much pressure on this young child ... but it seems that she does have a normal life in many ways. She goes to school ... has friends at school and sees them out of school hours .. she is only allowed to do things like the TV shows and appearances for so many hours. All of these things are good .... and we can only hope that her mother and those responsible for guiding her will keep this sort of thing up. She will need to be a normal child ... normal teenager and do all the things that kids of those ages do. She does seem to be very passionate about the animal world ... she spent so much time with her father plus her mother is also very involved in the same sort of thing. She inherited this natural talent and love for animals ... from both her parents ... but of course her father was the one who was mainly in the limelight all the time. Only time will tell ... but if the family does not protect her and make sure that she is a normal child with an ordinary life within the bounds of the other things, then the public will turn against them.

i think she will continue to do great things but, as with most of us, hope that she can also have a private life to grow up...she seems to be doing well so far.....fingers crossed it continues.... thanks for your response
