Will my star rating drop?

Blue Stars - Will my ratings change while I am away? Will I lose my pretty blue star?

I'm going on holiday (vacation) on Monday and wonder what will happen to my star rating? I won't be posting for about a week, so will my rating drop because of that? Anyone got any ideas? I kinda like my ten and the blue pretty star.

It seems that 10 is the highest :) I'm sure you'll have your pretty blue star soon.

Well it is now a week after you started this discussion Bunny and there is no change to your star rating. I have not been here much since the Star rating was first introduced and mine has not changed at all. I believe the changes come from the positive (+) and negative (-) ratings more than anything else. I doubt that one of either would change the star rating either, but I have been known to be wrong before too. LOL I did know that you were away actually because I saw it on tweety's. Hope that you had a fabulous time, rested and relaxed without it costing you a small fortune.

It was great to hear that you had a fantastic holiday Bunny and also that the holiday house had the most important of mod cons, the air conditioner. :)

Yep, I'm still here on a high rating. We went down to Coronet Bay near Phillip Island. Friends of ours have just built a beach house next door to the one they used to have - the new one is amazing! Right out of the pages of Vogue! We don't pay rent there as we do them other favours during the year - and we certainly got the hot weather. Glad to say that the house has all the mod cons including air con!

Have a super fantastic time Bunny! Where are you going? I agree that inactivity won't decrease the quality of what you've already posted, so your pretty bright blue star should stay intact.

Inactivity does not effect your star rating, it may still fluctuate going up and down from day to day depending on how many - and + you get as people arrive to your old discussions or some of old responses/posts. It will work exactly as if you were here, people with 10 don't always keep 10 but will stay close to it and regain it again as they keep the quality of their posts and discussions. this is how I understand it from reading the updates and guidelines and I think it's fair, you have a nice vacation and come back safely to mylot :)

I think each rating has its own colour. I did a quick look around and: 10 is blue 9 is red 8 is yellow 7 is white 6 is pink 5 is green 4 is purple 3 is brown 2 is grey 1 is pale blue

it's possible that it drops since you won't be getting ratings for a week...anyway...what's the problem with that bunny? you will be on holidays and we will all be very very jealous about it hehehe. Enjoy!
