Call Center Life...What do you feel?

ya u right, call center jobs are attracting new generation, even i also hav done this job for sum time bt left as night shifts were there n dont like, so left.. well they pays very well n its really interesting job nt much hardwork job bt if once anybody gt whole processor n gt all rules then its gud job..n they pay much than others so mostly guys do this job n mostly students do this job besides even studies..

I think call center jobs contribute a lot to our economy. It is a good resort for students who have a hard time finding a job (and we all know how hard it is in the Philippines!). While students can use the skills of their chosen field, the return is not satisfactory--minimum wage and not-so-impressive company benefits. It's true that it's such a waste to not practice the field you've studied in university but times are hard. And desperate times call for desperate measures. That's how it is in third world countries, unfortunately. I respect call center workers a lot because it takes a lot to do something apart from your chosen field of study.

yes i agree with you.. teh call center jobs are attracting new generation. They feel that with lesser effort they are able to make handome anount of money.. Also because the call center lifestyle is very hazardouse.. it is also affecting tgheir health...

call center life not bad but i think there is no future there is only u make a money n why they are provide the handsome salery coz the prrson must be doing good work and they are not leave to call center.......

I too prefer to work on my designated career/ preofession which is what i graduated with. Sometimes its not just about the money for me, I want to learn and improve my skills or myself in what i am good at. Im not saying or degrading call center jobs. They too are working at what they believe they are good at. And earn more money for families who are dependent on them.

I think call center offers a great way to earn a lot of money. Even though you're working even at night, it's nice to know that you make more money. I heard lately that here in the Philippines, call center agents are earning up to 25,000PHP. It's great! But for me, I prefer to work in my chosen field than working at call centers.

call center helps a lot of unemployed people, lets just say yes, they've got better potentials if they work on the field that they graduated ... they problem is are you going to wait forever for some company to hire you??? what if you need money as soon as possible...? call centers give instant jobs to hopeless people. hopeless in the sense that they've been to a lot of companies and got rejected.

i dont think they are making easy money.they earn what they deserve,as for being spoiled,those who dont have responsibility over their heads are being spoiled.

i dont think it is spoiling anybodys life , but will start spoiling education to the next generation, a person who studies in science field gets a salary around 10000, but a pu or any graduate or even sslc pass student will get 20,000 salary due to call centre job, due to that many may keep less interest in studies.

If you think being a Call Center agent is easy, think again. You will experience loads of mental pressures and emotional obstacles as it is not easy to handle tough issues handed to you by very irate customers. Talking almost 8 hours a day is no joke. Lots of Call Center agents get throat problems and some even undergo operations. Yes, it is a high paying job but I think it compliments the rigors of its nature. Never would it reduce the quality of a person as it enhances an individuals communication skills. It also teaches a person on how to relate to the different kinds of people.

Call center jobs do have all kinds of shifts. A person working at call center will get better skills in speaking , in business and for maintaining public relations. It doesn't seem as easy as it looks, because it is a responsible job where you will be directly interacting with the customers and in todays world customers are like Kings. But paying good salary for such job is justified. But actually you get more respect and money through a job which requires high level of skills like the jobs of Software Engineers in software development. This job (Software Development) is more challenging compared to call center jobs. But ultimately Work is Worship and it all depends on how people view things.
