Low Reputation

I have now just passed 100 posts and been deemed worthy of a reputation star :)
Although I'm not sure I've seen any others below 5.
Does anyone know if this is because I'm only just over 100 posts or that my discussions/replies are getting rated badly?

It is rather confusing. But, I sort of like being able to just roll with the flow of things and figure it out along the way. I hope that you can make more friends, and make longer posts so that your rating will rise in no time.

I don't really understand the stars at all, so if someone could explain it, I'd be so appreciative.

As far as I'm aware once you get to 100 posts you'll get the reputation star and depending on how much contribute to mylot depends on how high your reputation is.
And apparently according to above responses posting in certain sections of the site.
I also think getting 'best responses' and people rating your discussions as positive increases the reputation.

hmmmm I got 600 post and my rating still 7. Wy? Because its seldom people rate me +. ^^ Tat simple. Maybe It happen to U too. Don;t worry. As long as U post quality reply, poeple will give U + rate. I always give + rate to all ppl who reply my topic and to ppl that make discusion that I replied (For example you). ^^

it is not because have just 100 posts. low reputation happens because: ur responses are being rate badly, u have posted one letter or short responses which are not descriptive or u are responding to discussions which are not in ur interest group. u can imporove with little effort.

So how can you find out what your ratings are, do you know?

I just sent you a friend request, as think its our lack of friends that has caused our low ratings. My posts are all several sentences, but its clear my rating is bad. I check all of the posts on my friends list every week, so you can be sure of somebody replying to your posts. I'm glad to see we watch several of the same television shows.
