Ok this is just a bit mean, but I have to ask.

Don't you sometimes wish there was an ignore button for posters. So you don't have to see repeated posts from those members who will post things that irritate you? You know those posters that will steal other posters discussions and post them as their own? Or here is the kicker, start a 100 discussions in one day with maybe two words? But wait, how about those that posts things like "I bought new shoes today" and that's the full discussion. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just click, "ignore" and you will never have to see any of their posts again while surfing Mylot? Of course this would be just for you and you alone. Any one else who wishes to see them could. I know it sounds mean, but be honest, don’t ya wish just a little bit? I read all, I rate all but I can not respond to all. Thanks in advance!

I posted this just now and my response disappeared..god knows why! So i'm doing it again.. Oh yes, I wished for one of these a few weeks ago when the spammers and cheaters were at their posting peak! It was very frustrating. But now mylot had done a fantastic job of curbing this menace and we can find better quality discussions. Maybe I don't want the "ignore" button that badly after all.:)

Absolutely. Every forum should have an ignore button for those users who are just fed up with other certain users. I would hit that button a few times the very day they added it to myLot.

lol It does sound quite mean, but I so totally know what you are talking about. I do have to say it would be kind of nice to have such a feature, mean yes, but oh so nice.

I really don't have a problem with this. I never see their post. I concentrate on my friends post only. That is why I plan to build my friend base to 1000. Then I can read only intelligent post. Build your friend base, go to your discussions and only reply to those that replied toyou. That is what I do and I never see any nonsense this way.

Actually, I'm not certain that I require such a button, but i can understand where it would come in helpful *laugh* I really am getting to the point where I mostly respond to people's posts that I know, either through getting email notifications of their posts or else replying to the hot topics of the day, so it's been awhile since I've looked at the 'new discussions' page where it seems like a lot of the junk conversations are. But I think that you have a good idea there, honestly! ^_^ There's no reason that we should have to look through pages of useless topics *laugh*

we can't blame people who has repeated a discussion unintentionally because they can't read all the posts. what's irritting are those one-liner, useless discussions intentionally repeated and unmindfully flooding the mylot website with meaningless responses! Yeah, it's better to have ignore buttons, or block this user buttons to get rid of such crap!

Yes, if there was an Ignore button on here, it would really be a Plus, as there are a Few people here in myLot I would Love to put on ignore, and never have to worry about seeing their posts on here. I wonder if that would keep them from being able to Answer our New discussions here as well? There is nothing more annoying than the ones that go overboard on here. Some of them are disappearing now, but many come back like them all of the time too.

I agree. I have so many people that i see almost every day and yet I haven´t seen them make a good comment or discussion. io would love to be bale to block them - that was i will not spend as much time looking for good discussions to respond to =)

First when I just joined Mylot, at that time I thought about this option. Because at that time frequently I went to new discussion and recent discussion section in search of a good discussion to reply. But now I don't go through those section any more. I have enough good friend who start good discussion every day. So, I go through only friend's discussion and thats why for me no need of ignore button now.

Actually, I wish there was a delete button for some of them....The one I saw that really took the cake was somebody who announced it was their birthday and they couldn't believe how old they were. THEN at the bottom of the posting it said that they would rate anyone who did not give a quality response negatively...Guess they thought their birthday had some sort of world importance.

Oh yes an Ignore button would be very nice. The ones which start a 100 discussions in one day with maybe two words are just burying their own topics and there are such a pain to wade through. I tend to concentrate on my friends posts now and just try my best to ignore them…

Well, I think it will be mean if there is an ignore button here in Mylot. Anyway in yahoo chat there is. Some discussions even if they are not really interesting gets a lot of replies and I noticed that some interesting discussions get less.

Exactly, I, too, see that there are so many repetitive postings, I just wish mylot would put a limit as to the number of discussions one member can start so as well to pretty give others a chance to be on top discussions list.

Yah, i would love to have this, at least I will not waste all that time searching for something worth responding too when i block half of mylot's members lol What would i want more is that mylot admin uses their "delete" buttons more often to get rid of all the trash at mylot :(

What a good idea. Maybe another button that warns people who look at the topic after you have and you know it is an idiot posting there will be a little red flashing warning sign.
