Good health from Banana, Apple and Carrot

My Grandmothers friends just got back from Mayo clinic. The Healthy sister (in her 80's) asked the Dr. what she should do daily to stay healthy. He told her to eat a banana, apple and a raw carrot each day. He said if most people would do that they would have a lot less visits at Mayo. Anyone know what the benefits are from the 3 ? I know bananas are high in Potassium and that is good for you. I also know that carrots are high in betacarotine (ugh spelling) and that is good for your eyes.

some one told me apples are good for people's health, bananas are good for peoples inteligence, i dont know whether it is true or not.

What you said just about covers it. However, I would like to add that eating an organic grown banana, apple, and carrot would be much more healthier.

Well that is better than taking a bunch of medicine that can do more harm then good sometimes. It is good advice.

Well, it is well known that the potassium in bananas is good for your blood pressure. It is also good for heart functions. People do not realize that bananas are also a good source of magnesium, which you need with your calcium to make good use of it. Again, magnesium is good for your heart,and it is able to help prevent headaches, and makes you sleep better.Good source of phosphorous, for maintaining the health of bones and teeth when combined with other minerals. Vitamins A,C,E, and B complex vitamins (for nerve health). Apples have calcium, and magnesium, vitamins A and C, and phosphorous. We need these things for over all good health. Carrots are a good source for providing beta carotene,(Vitamin A)calcium,magnesium, phosphorous, and potassium. When you eat these fruits and vegetable you are getting natural sugars, and a generous portion of both soluable and insoluable fiber, which is good for your digestion, and makes you feel full as well. They all three work well together. No wonder Mayo clinic highly recommends these three foods for a daily diet.

I do eat those 3 every day. Not because the Dr told me to but because it is something that I was taught from childhood. I have health problems and an apple is easy on my stomach and it keeps me from being so shaky after I take my meds. Carrots are great snacks. They are good for your eyes but have many other health benefits too. They are crunchy yet mild tasting. The banana is for my potasium and blood pressure. It helps to keep blood pressure down naturally.

I think that a righ alimentation...... but white white meat and carboidratem same pasta or rice.
