Since you are a 10 star rating...

That is truly disgusting to hear that someone would actually say that to you - maybe they are jealous of your rating - which really is stupid - I mean we all have the ability to attain a high rating but it all depends on how we respond, how we are rated and how many best answers you have. So it's not like you got yours any different than the rest of us!!! Don't let people like that get to you - there are so many of them out there!!! It's all a part of life!!! thats why i dont have alot of freinds,some are so ungratefull.i deleted a few of mine.an i always look at people discussion they srarted before i add them to my list.you are giveing good advise to everyone

I always try to give the best response possible. and it is always in my own oppinion. If the person doesnt like the response I dont care I am expressing my knowledge for there discussion and whoever might be reading it. It is the only way to go.

Oh my God, that is so rude!! For a second when I read this I thought this was your announcement of not wanting to mark people with a 10 star rating. Gosh, what do people think of themselves. I'm sure that perosn doesn't have a 10 star and is sooo jealous he/she couldn't resist and messages you. Good you got rid of them from your list.

What a strange way to respond to you ... I can only guess they were jealous of your 10 star rating .. but to actually send you a private message and 'warn you off' is really bizarre ... Whatever did they think you would do .. I am very glad they are no longer a friend of yours .. because with friends like that you certainly wouldn't need enemies .. I feel quite honoured to have been given a nine star rating and I trust MyLot to have used the same formula to rate my posts and discussions as they did with everyone else .. I still have some way to go before I can achieve a 10 star rating .. but I am not jealous of anyone who already has a 10 .. they have clearly earned it .. well done !!

I have about 6 pages of friends, as I accept most friendships when asked. I only have a 9 star rating, so can I please have 'best response' lol. I don't care what star rating you have. If you are the one who gives the best response, then you will be given best response. I have seen star ratings of 10, 9, 8 & 6, but that is all so far. I think that it is very rude of your 'friend' to do that to you. I try to respond to discussions from friends as I know that they will try to respond to mine. I especially try to respond to the discussions of people whom I have referred, as I make a bit of money through my own discussion response, and also through their earnings as a referral. I always try to rate my discussions with a + or a -, depending on the comments made. I also have started to rate the topics which have been started as well. I did not notice them before, but have started to do it now. I am glad that you took your 'friend' off the list. If someone did that to me, I would definitely remove them, and maybe find a way of letting all their friend's know what they are really like.

you dont need a "friend" like that any way there are plenty of mylot members who will give positive ratings based on your discussions and responses not based on your rating number. Dont let it bother you and just move on. There are better people out there.

wow...I just can't believe that there is a parson who actually do something very rude like you said!!! I also try my best to give a good comments or so from my experiences or so but sometimes people doesn't know how to appreciate the other's advices,I think.That's very sad and I feel sorry to hear that you had to meet such a cold parson at MyLot.I would be more careful to add as my friends from now on.I hope you will find more better friends and hope you won't stop giving them a great advice!!

That does not sound like a very good friend. Real friends are happy when another succeeds at something. Congratulations on your 10 rating, and you are probably better off without this person. Cheers!

that was pretty lousy of them. I don't base best response on ratings but on the the thought and time put into a response. Friends like that you don't need.

I cannot believe that someone said that to you! How immature of them. I hope that they are reading this discussion now. You earned your 10-star rating by posting good responses to discussions and being rated by the MyLot users. Don't let this one idiotic remark ruin your day! Keep doing what you have been doing, and be sure to keep rating people even if they already have a 10-star rating. That is how they will maintain it. Obviously, you don't need that type of friend. It appears as if your friend is jealous of your 10 rating.

I think my response would have been the same. Some people really are too full of themselves. I forget them and move on, or maybe not comment on their posts anymore.lol

Thats ridiculous! As others have said, they are not worth having as friends. Wether or not people are on friends list shouldnt determine how you rate their response. It doesnt matter to be if you are a 10 star or a 1 star rating, a quality response is a quality response. I think that this new rating system is being taken way to seriously by some people, in regards to how they rate responses. Good on your for working hard to get your 10 star and dont ket this person get you down!

That's insane. And that person should be reported to Mylot. People receive a 10 rating because they've spent their time making good responses. They shouldn't be penalized for it by the members here just b/c they have it. ;/

I guess that is a bad friend u got there. They shoudlnt do that to u. But, seriously, sometimes they view diffrent view as a bad answer. If we cannot have diffrent view, what is the point of the discussion anyway
