lol. I've never heard of it, sounds a bit like a way to try and sell more tea, the things these companys will do eh?
I usually have a cup of tea in the morning and the occasional herbal tea during the day to try and cut down on the amount of coffee I consume.
Can't say I love it enough to celebrate it although I do really enjoy my morning mugfull.

Glad we share this appreciation. Herbal teas can be so useful and tasty too, can't say that about many medicines. Tea is definitely better than coffee!! We like to celebrate things so I found this and shared it here and glad to have done so. Thanks for responding my friend!!

The Tea Association said that recent research findings found that drinking black tea may improve the body’s immunity defenses and quicken the body's response to bacteria and viruses which would give us more of a reason to brew ourselves a hot cup of tea this January in celebration of National Hot Tea Month – and possibly ward off pesky germs.

I celebrate it every month. I love tea and actually prefer it to coffee. Green tea is my favorite. Flavored teas are preferred by my husband, who is actually a coffee lover. I am making him drink tea more often now.

So glad you are bringing your husband to the light side. I think he will begin to feel better with more tea in him than coffee. Green tea is also my favorite. Don't go for flavored teas at all. Purist I suppose.

Yeah, the thought here seems to be so what about the celebration. Green tea is my choice. I like mine with a bit of sweet and in the afternoon especially. flavored teas do not thrill me though! Thanks for responding.

Almost every day is National something day. There are also National something weeks, And every month is National something month.
There is a website that list such celebrations. I do not know the address, but a quick search would prob. find it! I believe there is a way to officially declare a day or week for the celebration of your choice.
It is somewhat helpful planning childrens acctivities, or adults for that matter, And just think, some one out there may like tea as much as you like chocolate!=)

I found that site and was deciding to share some of the ones I though worthy of a bit of discussion. I passes up Prune Breakfast month!! We decide on our own for our household what we wish to celebrate and have a bit of a party for anyway. I am a big tea drinker and just like something sweet with it, like a little cake or something. My friend brought up the chocolate chip cookies!!

I had no clue that National Hot Tea Month even existed *laugh*. I don't think that we need to celebrate it and I think it's a gimmick to get tea lovers to buy more tea for the month. Next they will come up with 'National Hair Of The Dog' month, *laugh*.

Some people don't like tea. I like herbal, but not the stuff that smells/tastes like socks. I like orange spice, apple cinnamon, lemon, etc.
I think inviting people to tea has become a lost art, so if you haven't invited anyone to tea lately, then we should celebrate. I see this topic was one year ago. How interesting. Take care
