Teenagers boys with long hair

I guess it's because it's not so common. Here in the Philippines, boys in school need to keep their hair short or the teacher will cut it for them. I guess from behind they can be mistaken for a girl.

When will people learn that each of us have the right to make our own decisions. Short hair is the stye in our community now. That is not to say there are not boys with longer length hair becuase there is. I am a firm believer in "choices" when it comes to hair length. The teachers who are looking down on the kids with long hair have problems. This should never be done. They should love each of their students for what they are and for their talents not what they (the teacher) think they should look like.

I dont think there is anything wrong with that.

I dislike long hairs of teen agers. They come from good faimlies but tell me honestly, do boys having long hairs do good works???? They search for good and attractive girls and usually smoke and waste their time. If they have hobby of having long hairs then cann't they have other bad habbits too? In my school, students were checked and our PTI Sir himself cut the long hairs of boys.

It is a matter of conforming and the long hair seems to symbolize anti social ways. I do not agree and some guys have great hair and if they take care of it is wonderful to see. It is a form of expression of self though not of what perception it truly is.

I have noticed that some teenage boys with long hair look after it much better than the teenage girls look after theirs. Teenagers like to try out different hair styles, some even colour it and wear it spiked and I think we should just learn to accept it.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with men or boys with long hair, but only if they keep it neat and clean. It is just societies view of what should be that people feel men and boys should have short hair. What about the women who have their hair short....is this a problem?

I never liked males with long hair -- not even if they were as handsome as Steven Segal. They look untidy and effeminate, and to me simply improper. Maybe the teachers have the same opinion. But then you might say, why do some females wear short short hair? (Like me, for example. lol) Anyway, it's a free world. It's just my personal opinion.

i dont think it is wrong since i have got a long hair.but as you said it should be maintained to a lean and healthy.wash your head whenever you travel and always wear a cap when you are in a journey and thanks for good discussion

I don't see anything wrong with kids that have long hair. In fact, I think that it's pretty sad that a teacher would think any differently of a boy for having longer hair. (as I assume that you weren't talking about girls, as the majority of girls probably have long hair anyway *laugh*) Personally, I like the look of slightly longer hair, and if I were a guy and not a girl I would probably have always wanted long hair, and I would hate to think that people might be looking down on me because of it.

It's a sterotype and is very stupid on their part. There is nothing wrong with a teen having long hair. That should not matter to any teacher because their job is to teach and give every student the same attention and help.

I have an afro and teachers have no problem with it, i think its just the white kids.

Their stuck on the old grooming ideas. Pure and simple. I'm 34 and have had long hair off and on.

teenagers with long hair looks good but it depends on the environment they are into,,when they are in school,they cann be in their long hair because that's against school policy and the boys should comply with it whether they like it or not, the best solution to this is to go to school that has no plolicy in terms of haircut,, in that way, he can freely express himself through his hair and still giving due imporatnce to his studies. =)

I liked it when I was a teenager. However as I got older, I really hate it. I wouldnt want a man with long hair. My husband had it when we dated in high school, and luckily its gone now.

GIRLS WITH LONG HAIR IS NOT A PROBLEM BUT BOYS ESPECIALLY GOING TO SHCOOL WHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO KEEP LONG HAIR. THEY CAN DO THIS AS A FASHION WHEN THEY ARE IN COLLEGE. AND THAT ALSO IF THEY ARE STRAIGHT AND NEAT AND CLEAN TO LOOK AT. BUT IN SCHOOL IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED

Well I guess boys with long hairs are cool. Most of the boys who had long hair are rockers. They should not be judged by their hair, it's just their way of expressing their selves.

Well I am a guy who has long hair and many girls have commented that if you cut it off, were not speaking to you ever again! Well I think everyone has right to keep the style they want and teachers should not interfere in these matters. There is something called freedom to do what you want and doing things that make you happy and look good should not be abolished by people who do not have a life.

There isnt anything wrong with it.A teenager doesnt really look cheap in it.I think teenage is an age to let them do anything good they wanna do since they dont must have to be look decent in a teenage.

Its no wrong in having long hair. But one should also consider whether it will suit him or not... If you handle them properly to make them look good its no wrong in having them. The only thing that concerns the school teachers is that the student might not pay attention to studies and is getting much more into fashion. This is the only reason why teachers hate long hairs.
