I wear contact lenses. I take them out maybe once a week if then to clean them. I know that I should take them out more often but it is bothersome to do all the time. How about you do you wear contact lenses? And if so do you remove them every day?

Hi My wife does! She has to take them out every day, and put them into a solution. She also uses a droplet before she goes to bed! It is a pain for her, and she hates doing it, but until we can afford to have Laser Surgery done on her eyes we have to put up with it!

I wear disposable contacts that are supposed to be good for a month I do not wear them often so one pair lasts me 3 months but I do take them out at night I still am not real used to them and after about 10 hours they really start to bother me.

Yes I wear contacts. I do take them out every single night. Yes it is a pain but I have slept with them in overnight and its not pretty the next day for me, they are real dry. Plus i hear its not healthy to leave them in overnight...

I remove them daily no matter what the recommendations say. It's worth doing so. You can get more life out of them. Depends on which you use.

I wear contact lens too. I always wear it. Because i need my contact lens to read and see anything. Without my contact lens i can't see. I usually remove my contact lens whenever i want to clean it and when i take a bath and when i sleep.

omg, girl!!! how do you do that!?!?!?! i remember when i first got my lenses at the age of 16 or so....they insisted on reminding me that i should never wear them for more than 10 hours. and usually that's about right. as an adult, beyond 8 hours usually causes me eye strain, headaches, dryness and itching. i know contact lens 'technology' has come a long way since then, but still...i worry about the safety of wearing lenses in water or to sleep. i admit i've fallen asleep in my lenses, but i have never nor will i EVER sleep in them on purpose! not only is it bad for your eyes, because they can't 'breathe' as well as when they're nekkid, but the lenses can also get lost in your eye sockets!!! this has happened to a friend of mine who had to get a doctor to sort of 'rotate' her eyeballs manually in order to find where the lenses ended up! really not fun, i'm sure! in any case, i don't wear my lenses daily, but when i used to, i took them out after abour 10 hours, which usually coincided with bedtime. and i don't wear them in the shower unless it's a quickie and i keep my eyes mostly closed the whole time.

Oh my God, you wear them for a week?? Sorry, I don't mean to be rude or offensive but it definitely is not a good practice. No matter what kind of lens you use(disposable, coloured or yearly) you have to take them off after 12-14 or maybe more. But lens need to be in the lens solution for atleast 12 hours. But even 4-5 hours is good. It's not good for the lens or your eyes when worn for such long periods of time. I've been wearing contacts for the past 10 years, and have never once worn them overnight, let alone for two days in a row. I simply cant sleep with them on and need to clean them everyday. Maybe you should to.
