Someone finally said it!
I have been reading alot about racism and I am fed up with all of the negative sterotypes of the white race. I know that I am going to get flamed for this before people even read this to the end but that is alright since that will show their ignorance not mine. I am not a retarded skinhead, nor a member of the KKK I am just an American with a mind of myown and these words have hit to home with mee.
How many are actually paying attention to this? I have spent a lot of time typing this out as I am not at 500 yet so lets see how many poeple can read this to the end before busting my b@lls for stating the truth?!?
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc. And then there are just Americans.
You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You Call me "White Boy," "Cracker," "Honkey," "Whitey," "Caveman"... and that's OK.
But when I call you, Ni**er, K1ke, T0wel head, Sand-ni**er,
c@mel J0ckey, Be@ner, G00k, or Ch1nk ... you call me a racist. **I cannot even post them here but yet see the racist comments twords whites above!! Hmmm.....**
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,
so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You have Yom Hashoah You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP. You have BET.
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) ... we'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day ... you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month ... we'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives. We'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of
Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships... you know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were "White colleges"... THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching
for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride... you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society ... you call him a racist.
I am proud. But, you call me a racist.
WHY IS IT THAT ONLY WHITES CAN BE RACISTS, WHEN EVERYONE ELSE IS JUST PROUD?

Thank you for the response and please continue to be proud of your race! Being white and proud is nothing to be ashamed of the same as none of the other races should be ashamed of their pride. There is a difference between white PRIDE and white POWER, white power would signify that the white race is better than others but we are not as we were all created equal, we all bleed red blood! I'm just proud to be who I am, and white just happens to be part of that. I'm proud that I am a kind, compassionate person who treats all people equally nice until you do something to hurt me, in which case I hate you.
I hate stereotypes, but I find that people in various cultures have behaviours that only add to the stereotype.
I totally understand what you are saying, but the way I look at it is, these people are just fighting to be heard, seen and recognised because for so long they weren't.......because whites had all the power. If you've never had to fight to get people to accept you for what you are then you don't understand. I've never had discrimination because I'm white, but I have as a woman, especially when I was a pregnant woman in the workforce.
Look at Hitler's idea of a perfect race, and he didn't even the fit the description that he decided was perfect...what the hell is that. There are so many things that make us who we are, and we need to accept these differences in each other.
Someone mention BET, if we had WET, it would be called racism. Instead think of it this way......we already have WET and we've had it for a long time. There are various groups that feel like they have had no representation in tv/entertainment..such as gays, blacks, hispanic, asian.etc, etc. Just think if you're not a minority, then you've never had to fight for recognition, tht's all they are trying to do.

I have no problem what so ever with all the racial oriented organisations, entertainment, etc... I just think that everyone should be treated equally nomatter what. I do not think that BET is racist just as I would not think that WET would be either, but it only takes one a$$ to ruin it for all.
If the other races are able to have organisations to advance their own and it is just pride not racism, I think that the white race should be able to as well. Actually there should be no racial divide at all when it comes to advancement. There should be no United Negro College Fund, racially oriented schools, racial entertainment, etc.., as they just further the racial divide.
Those that have the United Negro College Fund should show, (if they truely exist because of bigotry), that they are one step better than the others by giving on MERIT alone nomatter weather white, black, red, etc... They say that they exist because the person of color did not have a fair chance because they were overlooked because of their skin tone, yet they do the exact same. If they exist because of the dream of equality they should practice it. MERIT should define the person not the color of their skin!! If you do not do your school work and run a D+ average you do not deserve a paid college tuition nomatter what your ethnic background. MERIT and MERIT alone should be the guide!
As for Hitler.... he was mad with parkinson's disease. In the beginning he had a brillent strategic mind but he started going mad with power and his personal infirmaties. His idea of the perfect race was pure crap, as you stated he did not even fit his own mold, hell very few do. His later years are a perfect example of what we should never become, yet there are many that are, including black, red, yellow, etc... skin tones. There are Hitlers in all races and it is equally wrong!

There are alot of white people that are bigots but there are also in all the other races as well not just white. I fully accept that there are white bigots but they must accept their own bigots as well.

Yes everyone should be proud of who or what they are. Weather black, white, red, yellow, purple, blue, gay, straight, or whatever!! Everyone should be proud!

You know...you brought up some very good points. My problem is, I never thought about being proud of being white...it is just what I am...just what I have always been. I can't know what it's like to be black, or hispanic, or asian, or any other nationality...I only know what it is like to be a white female, a mother, a grandmother, a wife, 57 years old and oh yes...I know what it is like to be fat. Other than those things...I just can't relate. I also am proud to be an American...not sure why...just am...I've always been patriotic...I think we must have been born with it in us! LOL

Esther, you are such a kind wonderful woman! Thank you for putting this into prespective from your point of view. I love the idea of the old values and this is the reason I talk to my parents as much as humanly possible.
I am glad to hear that you have never thought about being white and proud that shows that good solid humbleness that makes you such a wonderful person. You are a dwindeling rememberance of wholesome family goodness that made the past so very great. I honestly pray that the evil of this world never, ever touches a person such as you! You were content with who you are and what you are and be damned if anyone did not like it!! You are truely a member of "If you don't like it don't look at it" generation.

Great dialog here!! Do not be ashamed of the color of your skin as it is all just a pigment and skintone is only skin deep. Be proud of the way you look, be proud of your heratage.......BE PROUD!!!
You were created as a part of this rainbow called humanity, be proud that you stand out and don't blend in since if everyone felt like that there would be no rainbow! You must love yourself before you will ever truely be able to love another! Thank you for the post and have a great day!!

I feel that it is perfectly ok for every race to love and appreciate the accomplishments of that race. Noone no matter what race they are should hate or degrade another race. There are bad seeds in every race and there is nothing that we can do about that. We need to appreciate our differences.

Thank you very much for the response as you have just proved that SOME people can actually tell the difference of racism!!
I totally agree that there should be no hate nor degradation of other races, hell we are just different no better or worse, the better and worse comes from person to person. We were created a rainbow of colors for a reason and as such we are all beautiful!!

Extremely well put - and it needed to be put!
I can't comment on the situation in the US but the same thing could be said on a smaller scale in Australia. It seems we are the ones discriminated against in our own country. The government bends over backwards to ensure our migrant citizens are not offended, but takes no action against insults hurled against white citizens. White Aussies have been charged with racial crimes for "offending" certain newcomers, but those newcomers received little more than a slap on the wrist for serious crimes against white girls.
Department stores and child minding centres no longer have nativity scenes, Christmas trees, Jingle bells, Christmas carols, santa etc because these things offend some of the newcomers. If I went to live in their countries, and objected to their traditions, they would not remove them (but they'd probably remove me!)
Why are Aussies racist and they are not?

Thank you for the great compliments!! I only posted it because it is something that had to be said.
All of these other races talk about discrimination and such but I feel at times as White people are the ones discriminated against. If we receive a racial slur there is nothing we can do about it, if we say anything or do anything it is a "HATE CRIME". If we do anything that "offends" then it has to change or it is a violation of their constitutional rights or a "HATE CRIME". We even have had to remove Christian Iconagraphy because it offended Muslims and America was founded on Christianity.
I do not get it, people b!tch and complain so very much that "WE ARE ALL EQUAL" but then the whites and/or christians are the ones that get the sh!t end of the deal. Why is this? Is it truely a crime to be white and proud? What has the world come to?!? It seems to mee that the tollerence has just reversed the rolls and now the "LEGAL" racism is directed twords white folk. We should all be equals and this racist crap should come to an end, but that will never happen because there will always be someone weather white, black, red, yellow, brown, etc... that will preach hate and others that will follow. The only difference will be that only the white will be racist, the rest will just be proud!

Wow. You didn't get any responses for a while because noone can argue with you because you are RIGHT! I've wondered about these things several times before also and I don't understand why we can't have the same rights as other races. It's always all about them them them, but they say it's all about us. I feel like we are being "weeded" out in a way.
I recently ran across a discussion on here that flat out just bashes americans. He even tells us all to F off. I can't understand how he can be so hateful to an entire country. I was furious at his discussion and wanted to respond with something like what you have wrote but I was so darn upset, I couldn't get it worded right, and just gave up.
I'M WHITE, I'M AN AMERICAN AND I'M VERY PROUD OF IT!!! AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T LIKE IT CAN KISS MY GLOW IN THE DARK WHITE BUTT!!!

I figured that I would get alot of hate just from the "Proud to be White" heading alone!!
I do not know why people are so hung up on all of the racist power trips!! It seem that by now we would have tollerance for all rather than some idiotic idea that the skin tone is the value of the person! This is the reason why I do not think we have been visited by aliens..... what the hell would our lynch happy a$$es do to a green guy?!?
I am so glad to hear your declatation of pride!! You scream it from the roof tops Stephanie!! But before you do....you may want to get that "Glow in the dark" butt of your's checked out since I do not think that is right!! :-)

Honestly, it is called reversed prejudice. It happens all the time. I can not understand why, as the country does not discriminate, the people do. I do not have a problem with everyone getting the same opportunities as everyone else.
I also have a problem with people still bringing up slavery issues. I am sure I had absolutely nothing to do with it. African Americans should be proud their ancestors sold their own people to the Spanish and the French, who then brought them to America. The ancestors may have had to work, but let them imagine if they were in Africa today. They have it so much better here.
We are all from somewhere else. Even the Native Americans, at one time migrated across from Russia to Alaska and worked their way down into America. All the others that came here, came here on their own because this country has better opportunities than theirs.
Everyone needs to learn to accept people for who they are, no matter color, religion or creed. I am sick of all the complaining about different races. People need to quit teaching this mess to their children. It all just needs to stop, but it won't because of the way some people think they are so much better than someone else.
I am glad you had the courage to vent on a topic that could cause so much controversy. I can definitely see your point.

TOUCHE!!!!!!! You put in print something I've always wondered about! I'm sick of feeling like I should be responsible for things because I'm WHITE! I'm sick of tippy toe-ing around minorities for fear they might mistake something. Locally, they're trying to make it a violation for saying the 'N' word~HUH??????? What happened to freedom of speech? Shouldn't any derogatory word be baned then? And where is the line drawn between what is and what isn't derogatory? Frankly, I don't think the whites use the 'N' word any more than blacks. I used to be a counsler for inner city kids; ages 5-8 and when they'd fight they were quick to call each other the 'N' word, or a spade. Where do young black kids learn this? I can only assume it's at home. I'm fed up with having to defend MY race!

There you are you have now put it into words!! There should be no outlawed words nor phrases as we are guarenteed the Freedom of Speech, but these words and phrases should not be used as a weapon nor used in disrespect!! I try to live my life and traet others as I want to be treated. I do not want to be hated for what white people have done in the past yet I am and have been. Those white people were not mee and I have nothing to be ashamed of the same as noone else does.
It has come time for us white people to raise our heads high and say "F*** the past that was not mee!!" I have no reason under this sun nor any other to drop my head in shame! Be proud my friend just do not let it get clouded with a power trip!!

i am not a white (i am an indian), but i appreciate your thought (that might surprise you! hehehe) i feel that every person should be proud of his country, race, religion, his identity.. provided that his pride doesnt belittle any other person. there should be enough space in the pride-land, to accomodate every persons pride :) so we should try to keep the size of our pride flexible, so that everyone should fit in!!
wierd thought-- but the jist is- be proud of yourself and let others be proud too! make pride a positive trait.. because negative pride can wipe out the greatest of kingdoms!
P.S.- i know yours is a positive pride!! ;) chillax! hehehe.. great topic! cheers buddy!

Very well said my friend!! There is more than enough pride to go around, atleast in the pride I believe in. It is a shame when someone allows their pride to turn into power since it is then that the racial issues come up!! I do not believe any race is better or worse than any other but people are! I am not a racist but my pride is a big as all of out doors!! :-) I think that all of us should hold our heads up high and declare our pride!! Scream it from a mountain top and not be called a racist because of it!!

First of all I just want to say that I am not a racist nor have I ever been and I will never be. I believe everyone is equal, the color of your skin doesn't matter. I have actually dated a few black guys and believe or not, the people who had a problem with this were not always white. In fact I remember being glared at and given dirty looks by black women for being with a black man. Yet I see black women and white men together and it doesn't bother me in any way. Same case senario with my current boyfriend, who is mexican. Some mexican girls had a problem with me because I was a white girl dating a mexican. I don't understand why I am constantly defending myself because I choose to date a different race and yet they are the ones always crying racism. I guess their is no such thing as racism against white people, right? It's so unfair that we have to walk on eggshells around certain people but they can say and do anything they please. I hate racisim! It's a double standard almost. Like if a white person says the n word they are racist yet they call eachother that all the time. Everything you said is absolutely true and no one should burn you for that. I completly agree.

good point im proud to be white also u cant even fly a flag when its the world cup in england because its counted as being racist but its bull.
its england why shouldnt you be allowed to fly your own countries flag and be proud without it be racist if its racist why is it fine to see other nations flags being put up and nothing being said.
another thing u cant have anything to do with pigs and cows because there a religious symbol what the f**k is that about.

It's funny, I know where you are coming from. It's really hard to isolate white culture, and I think that plays a part in the issue. A huge part of what we typically understand of "white culture" is alienating other races!!
But there is a definable white culture, I learned about it peripherally through my sister. It's pretty interesting, I don't know if you are familiar with the "non-western" requirements most BA programs have? She was able to select "hyper-whiteness" as her non-western (at super liberal Berkeley, no less!), and that's what they talked about. White people are freakin violent!!
But I think that the issue you are describing here isn't easily resolved. There really aren't any "white people" any more, or at least any white people with a definable heritage. For instance, I'm pasty but I'm: German, Irish, Lithuanian, French and Polish. And I can't really have a day celebrating all that!!

Well... I agree with most of what you said! I think you made some good points. I am not ashamed of being white, although our ancestors did make some rotten choices they wrote the constitution and built the country that allows so many others freedom today! I don't go around degrading or mistreating others because of the color of their skin. It would definitly be on if we had a Miss White America or USA with no people of color as contestants. Don't you think?

Yes our ANCESTORS did make some very poor choices and committed some horrendous acts but that was them NOT US! We have no shame in what they did as it was not us!!

Apparently, unbeknownest to most racists, the toleration of blatent racist behavior by other people (of all races) is an incredible act of condescension. Condescension can only be bestowed on inferiors. When the minority members who are racists in the ways you mentioned mature intellectually and realize this basic truth, that only lessor individuals are racists, perhaps they'll change their ways. Does this help you to understand why most whites don't go around bragging about being white?

You forgot Asian Chamber of Commerce. But maybe you've never heard of them, they are quite exclusive and very few non-Asians are even allowed to attend their functions.

I guess there's nothing wrong with you color. What is wrong is when you judge other races as inferior or you consider you race as superior amongst others. You got a point in there but I think what is best is that you don't follow them and you don't preach to what a racist should be. Be proud of your color and also respect other races as well that is what I think it should be.
