India
January 19, 2007 3:40pm CST
Hi Friends... I have joined here 5-6 dayz back n hav around 54 posts as of this time and my earning is $1.03...So If I break up this earning it is as follows... For each post I am makin i m getting around 2 cents and for each image post I m getting 2 cents...here I would like to mention one thing that the post like "Thank you for the information" and etc etc...does not count for receiving payment. This type of one liner post will also affect your ranking...... Now if you guys know something about the scheme of mylot for payment...then plz let me know...

First of all, welcome to mylot. You have just joined a great and exciting global community of people helping each other. What I'd like to say is that keep up writing and responding decent quality posts. From experience, I find they pay higher. One word or sentence answer is a no no. I doubt you will make even 1 cent from them. The best thing to do is to work out a simple strategy to maximise your earnings. Strategies differ from working members and members who are doing posting on a fulltime basis. I am a working person, so a simple strategy will help me not to be stressed out and yet enjoy my time with mylot.

Ok, I think I am just *really* new here, & I don't even know how to go back & see HOW much I made on an individual post. How would I do that, or where would I find it at? Thanks!

I have been here for over a week now and have made 125 posts and made $4.74. And my star rating is already 8 and I think that is good for this little bit of posts. What I have been doing is making quality posts like a paragraph long and also I have made about 3 discussions and rated everyone that responded and made comments to almost every one who responded. I think by rating everyone and commenting to everyone that your rating goes up and your earnings go up. Plus you're helping people out by rating them. I also got one referral on my first day but she hasn't made any posts yet so I don't think I will be making anything from her. Oh well. I love this place anyway and the way I see it is that I am making new friends, learning new things, I am able to give my honest opinion, and I'm making a little money along the way. So I will just keep posting to the ones I find interesting and making some discussions of my own and rate everyone who responds to me. That way I will get a better rating and more earnings! :)

I think it is more quality than the length of posts that increases your earnings. I only respond to discussions where I have something of value to add also. My earnings for 107 posts is $3.13

I think that I have 4 dollars with 84 posts. Fortunately, a few of my posts were of quality discussion and had a lot of feedback. I can't post everyday, nor can I post fifty posts in a week. Hell, I am having a hard time getting to one hundred after three weeks. I think I read somewhere, where if you get quality posts, and keywords that light up in blue, then you will get more. Fortunately, i only post when I have an interest, and not to make money. I think that has helped a lot.

Ok well basically, the more you write the more money you will get per post. Personally i think its based on words aand how much you write rather than what you write. But then again im not expert. I dont know if you get money for discussions thats one of my own questions. But i think if you post a comment thats like 2000 words u will get quite a bit for it!! Hope i helpedxx

Hey. Congratulations with your earnings. I have only 3 days here and 25 responses and i have only earn 0.38cents, so you are doing great. Well, here you don't earn for the quantity. Instead you earn for the quality. The best your response it's the more earnings you earn. Simple, so try to force more yourself and give more quality questions, so you could earn more

well, i think the quality of a response is based on how long it is. mylot can't possibly rate a comment based on its content but they can surely track the number of characters a member is using on every post he or she makes. maybe the idea here is to elaborate our responses so we can earn more money and at the same time be able to freely express our opinions on each topic.

I have been keeping track of how many posts I post each day (it has been around 10 or so) for the last couple of weeks. Then the next day I take a look at home much I recieved, this does not include my referrals or my photo earnings. It appears that I am averaging about 4 to 5 cents per post. Like many of the dicussions on here about the myLot earnings say, you have to make sure that you make quality posts. Simply one or two line answer don't cut it if you want to earn more money than you currently are. Also, something that I have noticed is that you need to do it for all posts if you want to keep that average up. Like mentioned before if you want to make some more earnings get refferals. This is the easiest way to make money, 25% of what others make can really add up. But you cant just get referrals, you have to get people who are going to be active members of the myLot community. Keep up the work, and I am sure that you will see your earning per post go up if you try to make good quality posts.

computations on the discussions and responses varies it depends on mylot admin's computations...in the guidelines there is no specific scheme on how many cents you gonna earn..it depends on them actually...just address your inquiry to them ok..more power and have fun here...

The more resonable ( + rating ) post you make the more money you get for it! Also if you post a topic which has 0 anwsers you dont get paid for it! It is not even counted to your post count ;)

I find it amusing that so many people actually thought they are going to "make money" on here. I too thought this at first and then I got to thinking about it logically. They is no way you could make enough money to really effect your life at an average of .04 a post. I decided that it more fun to converstaionalize with people from all over and get new prespectives than it is to try and make money. I wish all of you the best of luck.

I think they give 0.05 for every reply and 0.08 for every topic you post. And they give you 0.03 for every reply that someone post in your topic. Try to start a cool discussion and people will start reply your topic and the more replies you get the more money you earn. And try to refer more people to mylot. You will receive a bonus equal to 25% of their earnings.
