Ayurvedic plants are mostly small herbs that are good for health and often cure diseases. This discussion is meant to explore the possibilities of growing such plants on terrace garden, I mean in small area away from ground. Please tell about your experience and other sources for acquiring knowledge in this area.

Have you grown any such herb? Tell me about your experience. I grow Tulsi and Alovera on terrace. What else can I grow? Anybody else can suggest?

yeah ofcourse they can grow well...just see that there isnt tooo much sun ...u see to this problem by just giving some shade to the plants grown there...n the usual maintenance is enough actually the ayurveda plants n trees got a lot of other properties too like some act as insecticides..a well known example of this is neem...its a gr8 insecticide n has a lot of medicinal values...evn though its a tree we can check its growth by pruning it n can plant in some drums or sacks...also there r plants like the insulin plant ..which as u must have guessed is can be used to reduce blood sugar...just boil the leaves in water n have it...then there r medicinal plants for wounds, bruises..actuallyi donno the biological name of this plant..its got small vilot flowers...lil big plants...from my personal experience i say its really good for treating aches ...n not to forget tulsi...u may already know its qualities ..used for a wide range of illness from common cold to insect bites.soars...also to neutralize the odour...
