I have heard that there are multiple vitamins and herbal supplements that can help depression. The only one I know of is St. John's Wort. I was wondering if anyone has every tried any of these with or without success?

No, she just asked about St.John's Wort in her discussion. Take care and I trust one day you find the vitamins and herbs that will make a difference in your life. Take care of yourself, and each other....

No I've never tried it, but I was considering it. I was trying to see if that or anything else has worked for anyone. I always worry that the herbal stuff would cause weird side effects.

Well that is true but I don't really expect it to help a major depressive disorder.

Vitamins are nutrients required in very small amounts for essential metabolic reactions in the body.[1] The term vitamin does not include other essential nutrients such as dietary minerals, essential fatty acids, or essential amino acids, nor does it encompass the large number of other nutrients that promote health but that are not strictly essential.

Boy that's terrific. You copied and pasted a response that does not even answer my question. Great.
