Quality? or Quantity? (Which one could Increase your MyLot Earnings)

Philippines

Hi I am a new member of this online community. And as far I know MyLot doesnt reveal to its members its payment scheme. As I also browsed on the site for some tips, most members posted that you should go for Quality Posting- meaning you should respond to certain discussion with responsibility and your responce should have content, sense and relevance to the current discussion. But on the other hand some members stated that the more you Post the more earnings you get.And numbers do say it!.Coz some members are saying that they are now earning a dollar everyday here in MyLot.and you could really see the number right beside their name that it is really BIG( more that 500 i mean). So, My Question is: Is it really Quality? or Quantity?

the higher the quality of your responses is the more you will earn ! It is simple ! Although it takes more time posting quality content i am sure you will earn more that way ! Everybody would benefit from it ! You will not only earn more, but mylot will be an interesting place where people have fun chatting together :)

while quantity does play a part in your earnings, the quality and length of your posts also plays a huge part in it. ive seen a few posts of people complaining that they have posted a decent amount of posts yet didnt get much for them, that is because they were shorter posts. and the stars you see next to names shows your reputation for the quality of posts that you have. always post something at least 5 lines long of quality content and you will make more than if you only add one line. (Just remember to follow the guidelines too) i actually enjoy being here not for the money but for the interesting things that people talk about or ask about and i will only reply to a discussion if i have something to say about it. also make sure that you post your own response to the discussion, you can add to others responses but wont get paid for it.

when you say at least 5 lines long does that mean consecutively or does it matter if you have a space after every few lines?

sorry i should have said you can add a comment to someone elses reply but it wont increase your number of posts...only a response to the discussion will

I am fairly new and it really seems like there is no rhyme or reason for the pay. I think both quality and quantity must play a part though. I earn ok, and I dont do a bunch of posts. Instead I tend to reply to the ones that I actually have pertinent information for, so they tend to be quite lengthy. But I have noticed that a lot of people respond to questions with quick little one liners that have nothing to do with anything. For example I posted a discussion about my cat being jealous of the new baby and acting out. I got a lot of "I don't have a cat or a baby so I dont have a problem" I figure, why post? It seems pointless. But my guess is these people must be earning by doing this, so I am assuming that quantity must also play a fairly large role in the earnings scheme.

Quality! All The Way. You could post 1,000 posts, and if they arnt very good, you could make more with 500 quality posts. Making Crappy posts is just a waste of time! Quality, it makes it better for everyone!

I'm definitely of the quality school of thought. When you make well-thought-out, quality posts, you are definitely rewarded more than posting a bunch of drivel. Many people give short and sometimes meaningless one word answers in the hopes of making more money. Quantity is not the answer. It is all about the quality and the time you put into each post. You can make more money making ten quality posts than 50 crappy posts. I'd know know the exact algorithm, but I can promise you that. Bottom line don't think about earnings. Just relax and focus on answering the questions well and enjoying the discussion. You make way more money when you don't think about it.

I figure quality but I also found out if you have joined on your own you make more but if you joined by being referred you don't make as much because the person that referred you gets a percentage of what you make.

number doesnot have any relation to your earnings.dont go by them.you will find people here with more than 10000 posts.its because they are here for months and they have participated in many discussions.you can also.but all of them have posted quality responses too.number has nothing to do with quality.i have almost 500 points but i post quality responses as well as i also participate in every discussion i like it is all about quality here that will earn you money.quantity increases gradually with time.thanks

Well If you ask this question from the earning point of view I feel it need to be directed to mylot admin for they only know the real algorithm of computing the earnings at the end of the day. At most I can make some wild guesses. And I am ready to share those guesses. point no. one. The star matters in earning but the posts matter more. If one has a moderate star rating and if he/she make posts like a machine his/her earnings is going to shoot up I guess. This guess is not wild. I have seen the postings of many record breakers and all of them with few exceptions have made one liner postings. But If you ask me I am for quality postings. Not that I am rich or I do not require some extra bucks But I want this place to be a little bit creative and useful. I want people with stuff stay here for that only decide the very existence of this site. We have examples of other type of sites that have gone to oblivion in due course of time . I also wish mylot is using an algorithm that takes care of any pitfalls in this regard. So make quality postings It will pay in the long run for sure. Good luck.

Yea it is more likely of how good the quality is but if you post alot of quality post and that brings alot of quantity, which makes you earn BIGG. Anyways this brings up one thing and a funny thing, All those spammers that try to earn money by posting cheap non quality posts don't make alot! I hope that helped. But this is only from my experiences i don't know if this is true :)

For me, i choose quality rather than quantity. I like the quality of this discussion, why? because here in mylot i am not just want to earn money, but also to discuss, share opinion and your thought with others so everyone can now waht is your opinion for the discussion topics. I get sick for people who only care about their posting to earn money. Sometimes, people like that doesn't concern about the discussion topic. They didn't read all the entire discussion so the answer far from i expected, the answers doesn't match from what was the questions. I really don't like something like that. Thats why i choose the quality of discussion, why people not just responses with the quality, maybe from good quality of their responses, they can earn a lot of money.

I think you need to post some of quality response and at the same time..quantity is important too.Don't just add post that doesn't relevent to the topic.I had seen it before in my discussions.I was talking bout mylot and suddenly a post with stupid response..talking about chinese superstar!!! Maybe he was too fast and trying to make as many post he could. im quite new too..i joined mylot 3 days ago..when the first time i started to send 20 post..but not to say short or too long in paragraph..i only received 34 cents..but when i post something that attract mylot community,I got more than 1 dollar in my acct.I trying to say that if your topic is quality and good, many people will respond for you and you can make more cash.

I think it has to do with the length and quality because the more you post the more you seem to be paid so i think thats how it goes.

Quality is imporant not only here at myLot but the golden rule is applicable in every speher of life as quality is very important rather than quantity wheter it is applicable to food, weight, work or virtually anything

both should be balance..

I think both, (quality and quality). I responded a very short reply and no single penny added to my earnings. But when I responded to much more quality topic, I've earned at least 2 cents.

yes quantity matters. but not in the number of posts, but in your response. i try to coover every detail that i can find in a discussion when i post, hence i have a relevant, sensible, responsibly handled, qualitatively sound long post. if you cover most of the above there is no way that your post be called spam. and yes, initially spamming may get you money, but this way, eventually you will end up making more money, and also of course contribute to the forum. it's pointless if everyone spams. it beats the purpose of having a discussion in the first place.

hmm. thank you for bringing that into the equation. it didn't even occur to me. i can't do much , so i just gave you a '+' for it.

I'm afraid it's not just spammers that are flooding many of the discussions. I also have a MySpace and YouTube membership, and I've read more than my fair share of useless comments people post to their friends' sites or videos reviewed. Much of it is empty rhetoric.

Definatily Quality over Quantity. If you're just posting for the sake of posting, rather than to actually add something resonable to the discussion, you are more likely to recieve a negative rating, which could effect your earnings.
