I love it when people make me laugh!! Even a smile can make me smile and those few moments in the day are just a little sweeter than the rest. Sometimes, (not always cause I feel like a grump sometime) when I am out and about I smile at people on purpose or make a point to look their way so I can smile. Its just fun.
Anybody ever done anything like this?

I smile at everyone, and most will respond. But once in awhile someone won't react or smile back. I figure they are shy, scared, or off somewhere else in their head.

ha ha I do this all the time!!!
Once my mother was stopped by a stranger to ask why I was smiling.
But I would also like to wave and smile at people while they passed our car. I was just being friendly.
Well, one day when another man was pulling into our apartment complex and we were waiting for traffic so we could pull out of the driveway, I waved and smiled at the man driving in. He then stopped and asked my mother a question but because of the traffic, she thought he asked where we were going and she assumed that he must have known me or my sister in the front seat of the car...I was behind my mother.
My mother politely told the man that we were just making a quick run to the store and we would be right back. Just then, the traffic opened and my mother pulled out on our way to the store.
But then my sister asked my mother why she had told that man where we were going.
My sister then informed my mother that she did not know him and he had asked, "Why is she waving?" My mother then got upset and asked me if I knew him. When I told her that I didn't and I was just being friendly, I was then told I was no longer allowed to wave at strangers! LOL hahahahahaha
Well, now that I am an adult, I can wave all I want. And would you believe that when I have been driving with my mother, she will sometimes wave at strangers? I then have to tell her that I was told a long time ago that I was forbidden to wave at strangers and she was not following her own rule. ha ha
So, yes, I like to make people laugh and have a very friendly side. :)
Did I make you smile? The story is very true!!!!!

Very rarely have I smiled at someone and got a smile back. People just stand there and look you up and down or they look at us like we are ignorant or what are you looking at? I do however smile back at a person if they smile at me instead of just standing there looking all pi$$y. As mile is easy to spread and if people would accept a smile as a kind gesture instead of just standing thinking "what are YOU looking at?, I think we would have alot more friendly people.

I don't really like smiling to strangers. It might as well give them the wrong meaning. But if someone looks all bright and smiles at me, i might return the smile back. It'd make me feel awkward if i don't.

no ive never tried smiling at people i don't know unless i would like to get 2 know them. however what i find really embarrassing is when u see someone who u find familiar looking, u smile at them, and they don`t smile back. i think it is just politeness if someone smiles at u, u should smile back. SPREAD THE JOY
