What did you like about them? I like the way he writes. Even if you were to read the last book in the series you would still understand what is going on.

Card's writing style is a little unpolished, in my opinion, but he was a pioneer in the genre. The story is very gripping, so it's hard to put his books down.... He had an interesting and disturbing concept, and he created an effective framework to explore it. That was his success, I think.

The stile of writing is a bit unpolished. But what SF book is written differently. And about the fact that Orson Scott Card is a pioneer, I can say that "Ender's Game" was written in 1985. Asimov is writing Science fiction Novels from 1950. "War of the Worlds" was written in 1933. You do the math if Card truly is a pioneer of the genre.

The books were great, and card is a very good writer. I liked the first four more than the shadow saga. But the universe he imagined was great.
