...I don't!...I believe that our past makes us who we are in the present and if we spend our time "hate'n" ourselves for our past, then our future will only remain "the same" as it was then and is now!....NO REGRETS!...LEARN from your past and grow from there...that's my outlook. peace Dissposition

I am like you, not regrets, but very important life lesson. regrets are for people who don't learn from the things they go through in life. regrets are for people who allow the hard lesson to bring them down and not give them the tools to work through them and become stronger. i use to be like that, but when i noticed that i am learning and growning from my regrets and or mistakes, i changed my thinking and that changed my life

i do not belive in regrets even if i have them sometimes... my opinion is :why having regrets on something that allready happened ..it will consume you.. and you instead of watching in the future you keep regreting the past.. and one more thing.. i guess you are right.. what happened in the past makes us be in the present and living more in the future..so no point in regreting... there is another form of regret.. the one felt in the moment when you don't do something ...here in my oponion is to do it better feel the results on your own skin then to regret it:P

Although I know that you cannot change the past, I do sometimes have regrets. I really try hard not to beat myself up, but it happens. Some days are better than others. You are so right that it is better to learn from the past. I do this as well. Live for today. Huggers.

After much reflection and weighing up of the pros and cons I think I would have to say .. 'I do' !! I think it is important to learn from things we have done badly in the past .. I do have a few things that I regret doing or in some cases not doing .. I could have made some life changes had I done thing differently .. so yes I do have regrets .. but I don't go on and on worry about them ... I have regretted my actions, tired to learn from it and then moved on .. but I feel if I were to 'forget' I regretted somethings then I might make similar mistakes again .. so it's good to keep such things in mind ...

yes i do regret sometime but also totally agree with what u said. we have to look forward n don,t stay in the past. what happened in the past just let it past.be yourself n do wat u have to do to avoid anymore regrets in future..

I have many regrets. Foremost among them is my choice of a major in college, and hence my current career.

I agree with you, I don't have any real regrets in life. I have learned from my mistakes. I do have things I wish I had done and not done, but no real regrets.

Regrets are for those people who can't think of excuses for themselves. They try to subtly blame the past by lingering on the things they did or fail to do because it somehow justifies their present situation.

I agree with you 100%. I dont regret anything I have done. Life is about experience and growth. All of my past taught me something I can use in the now and future.

This is a great way to think. I am also a firm believer in not letting things get you down. No regrets and no looking back will always bring a brighter future for us all!!

I have to agree with you. Life is too short to sit around regretting things that we now can do nothing about because they are in the past and we cannot change the past. I admit that I do falter sometimes and feel regret, but then I turn my thoughts around my reminding myself of two things which I strongly believe in. One is that everything in life happens for a reason, whether we can see the reasons behind everything or not. Sometimes we aren't meant to know the reason. Sometimes it takes years before things that happen suddenly make sense. (I know that I'm having some reveleations about things in my past that never made sense to me and are starting to now.) The other thing is that everything in life that happens is a life lesson, whether it is a happy lesson or a hard one. We are meant to learn from everything that occurs in our lives. So if you remember those two things it is easier not to have regrets. Just treat others as you wish to be treated, have respect for all life, and do the best that you can. ^_^

That's right! Regrets make us sad and mad. We just need to accept that people are not perfect and go on with life.

No, it's over it's gone, it's too late, whatever it is you made your decision and have to live with the consequences. If you learn a lesson then that part of your life was neccessary. Lifes too short, if you live in the past you'llnever reach the future.

I have a few regrets, although i believe that the actions i took which i now regret, made me who i am today and where i am today.

Absolutely not! I have the same attitude you do....everything that has happened in my life whether done to me or caused by me, the good and the bad (including the rapes and child abuse) has made me who I am....It was a hard journey and took a lot of work to rebuild after being broken down to a shell of a person but here I am today, strong, wise, loving, openminded, living, learning and teaching etc....In spite of it all I'm one hell of a woman, mother, friend and wife so regret isnt a part of my vocabulary or my life

One way of learning from the past is to feel sorry for the things done that shouldn't have been done in the first place. In feeling sorry "emotions may or may not be present" but there must be a realization of the wrong done. In this sense, I believe in regret. It's living in the past that is harmful. Many people are crucified between two thieves, the regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, that they fail to enjoy the present. Regrets and worries can rob us of our lives.

yes, but only to a certain degree that I believe in regrets in some ways but then we have to learn to forgive ourselves and move on in life, life is too short to hold on to it but we will have more peace for ourselves and others if we can move on,.
