Can't copy in myLot

I am having some problems today in myLot. I typed in 3 very long answers, I went to submit them, and they never got there.
I finally decided to copy an answer just in case it happened again, and sure enough it did. But when I went to paste, I got a message saying I couldn't until I reach a level of 500 or 1000 or something. It was a concern with Spam
What is this level thing. And it does seem like the do pay attention to what we write, why don't they punish the people who do spam instead of those of us who just don't feel like typing in an answer multiple times.
Any ideas on this? What are levels? This seems to be a complicated, mysterious site.

It is a level wherein your going to strive hard just to reach 500 so that you can do the copy paste thing!...This is just new rules here in mylot!...It is one way of protecting the answers of other members because some are just copying the answers of others just to earn more!...It is unfair to those members who tried their best just to deliver a good responses!...If mylot wil just monitor those spammers, it will take a lot of time for them to be identified!...That's why they just maid this changes!...lolz

I absolutely agree that it is unfair to the members who are being honest on here and having their comments stolen by other people. Very good comment and answer. The protection of the honest members here is very important as well as preventing spam.

They do punish people who spam, they have their accounts deleted/banned. They prevent people from spamming by not allowing those under 500 to copy & paste. This has helped. They can not just allow some people to copy & paste and others to copy & paste. Even though the rule isn't fun, they have done it the fairest way way possible.

So I guess it is to mile marker 500. It seems like alot of things change if you reach this level.

I was having the same problem and never came to a conclusion as to why it was happening but I started to preview my response rather than just hitting post and it seems to work better for me hope that helps you it helped me!!

I have tried hitting the preview, but several times a night, I will still have it hang,

I did not yet face this situation. BTW do you if there any number of posts per day or per hour limitation in MyLot ?

I doubt there are many people who wish to create echo chamber in this place. But then, as with all things in life..u might be surprised to find out that they might have formed a religious clan somewhere. Copy+paste are dangerous weapons in the hands of the idle..Lol. Lets throw the garbage out. Patience is a virtue. If u reach the level of 500, ure deemed a superstar. And u know superstars can get away with murder.:) Cheerz

Although it also quite disturbing for me sometimes, but I agree that mylot has done a good job by doing so.. it prevent people come out of nowhere just sign up to spamming and copy pasting other people work
I also still in 280 level.. so let's work hard lol

When U see Ur post and U will surprised that U already reach 500. ^^ I only able to post 5-10 post/day and I able to reach 800 ^^

I think you are on this website either after many days or you are new because this change was made in mylot, last month itself. You have to cross 500 points (posts/responses) to able to paste answers or discussions. How long they may be, you'll have to write them until you reach 500 points.

Oh you havre to have (500) or more next to your name for you to copy and paste. I think that its not fair but that is the way that it is. I agree that this site is very complicated, but many people have told me that they made alot of money off this site. I just that it crap is worth it though. But good luck in the future.

Well you have to make atleast 500 posts before you can copy paste your answers. It happened to me before but now everything is fine, I don't have problems anymore with my posts getting lost.

You are right that there are some discussions and responses here which do not appear to be genuine or significant. But I guess it is a good measure that we are not allowed to paste a text here until we have finsihed at least five hundred responses. This will in some way reduce the tendency to simply steal material from any other source and paste it. In the beginning itself, if people can get away with it, they will get the idea that any fraud is accepted here. But sometimes, as you mentioned, when we fail to send the text we have painstakenly typed, it is quite annoying. Mylot has to do something about it.

I've also experienced that. Now I know what that means. Thanks for the topic you started. I think its just right that they prohibit copying and pasting to avoid spams. But they have to fix the performance of their website since its also a hassle for us we have to type again our paragraphs. hehe

I do not agree that this "problem" has anything to do with spam. I remember when I first started, I could copy and paste things that I already typed eslewhere or had copied due to computer interruptions. Anyway, I think this is siply some big brother wanting to oversee what you and I are writing, just in case they decide you are making too much sense and/or giving out too much truthful information. I have also noticed that whenever I give some responses that do not tickle the ears of the watchdogs, I am prevented from posting that response until much, much later!

its very annoying but you will get used to it. I've been through that also when they change the rules but i get used to it and when i reached my 500 post i can copy and paste again. Its very useful since sometimes the line is bad but it should not be abused by the spammers. well thats there very purpose why they implement such rules.

You ll have to reach 500 posts in order to copy and paste. this feature blocking the copy and paste option was done to block spammers.

ya man you ll have to post 500 posts in order to copy.this is to prevent spammers.what i dont understand is that once the people reach 500 are they not going to spam???anyway it is difficult to individually find spammers and punish them .So we guys have no other option other than to adhere to the process guys.so keep workin ,keep posting,keep smiling.

Hi. I have seen that also. It does state something about having to make at least 500 posts before we can copy and paste things. Im not real sure about the spamming thing here though. Im lost on that one. I have lost some of the things I have typed before also. Maybe once we reach that 500 posts mark, we wont have any problems.
