I agree summer of 69 sung by brian adams and co writen by J Vallance is a great song I got my first real six string bought it at the five and dime played it till my fingers bleed it was the Summer of 69 me and some guys from school had a band and we tried real hard jimmy quit jody got married i should have known we'd never get far oh when i look back now the summer seemed to last forever and if i had the choice Ya id always want to be there those were the best years of my life ain't no use in complaining when you got a job to do spent my evening down at the drive in and that's when i met you stading on your moma's porch you told me you'd wait forever oh and when you held my hand i new it was now or never those were the best days of my life back in the summer of 69 Man we were killin time we were young and restless we needed to unwind I quess nothing can last forever, forever no and now the times are changing look at everything that's come and gone sometimes when i play that old six string i think about ya wonder what went wrong (those lyrics seems to talk about his being in a band and the regret it ended) why did the band break up not just because jody got married but jimmy quit. its possible they just got discourage. many local unsigned bands just give up, stoping trying they let the dream die. not because they are untalented but because they don't get a chance to be heard and possibly suceed.we at www.crossfire-radio.com try to give the new unsigned bands some motivation to keep trying by helping them build a fan base and giving them somewhere there music can be heard. people hear them and possibly buy thier cd's or go to see them when they play local. oh and by the way :) i have this song on my playlist, ready to spin it for you anytime you tune in.

Dear DjSatin, I don't think you can know my favourite song. Infact my favourite song is by an old punk English band, the Crass. The title is "Bloody Revolutions". As I am Italian, my favourite Italian song is a song by another punk band, Raf Punk, from Bologna, the title is: "Contro la pace, contro la guerra" ("Against the peace, against the war"). Take care if you don't know these songs, these bands are quite unknown.

yes they were a anachrist punk band. members were Eve Libertine, Joy De Vivre,Phil Free,Andy Palmer,Pete Wright, and Mike G Duffield. they made thier own label Crass label. The strong political single you spoke of came out in 1980 was recorded with prison girls, I do believe not sure the second band Raf Punk I have no knowledge of
