When I travel anywhere, I love to get a tee-shirt as a souvenir. I also like coffee mugs. These are things I use and have good memories from on a regular basis. What kind of souvenirs do you collect?

They are inexpensive and generally easy to find also. I think that's a good idea.

I love taking pictures, we usually buy t shirts, spoons, shot glass and a bell. My son has a spoon collection I started when he was little. He has spoons from several countries.

That's great. I hope he has a nice rack to put the spoons on.

For years, my kids and I had a tradition of finding one of those "penny machines" at any touristy place we went. Oddly enough they're all over! LOL Having 3 kids, this was a great way to let them get a little something each time without always having to come up with a minimum $10 t-shirt they'd grow out of within a few months AND they felt so special because they "made" their souvenier! Now we rarely get souveniers, just enjoy doing things there. Sometimes I'll pick up a mug or something but for the most part I'd rather put the money into a good time and the memories.

I like those also. There are also the token embossing machines.

I keep small pebbles from the seaside when i go away on holiday. I've done this from a very young age and every year a pick up a different colour from the year before. I also keep bus tickets and other recites. =) Kudos ~Joey

photos taken by me and my own camera. i guess its better than buying anything. i use to carry my camera everyday because i like taking pictures if ever i encounter something nice -- or not, that catch my attention. me and my sister used to do that.

Photos are a nice personal souvenir. If you want a shirt or coffee mug you can make a very personal one with your own souvenir photograph anyway now, as so many places have the service available!

Well, there is of course the keychain. I also like coffee mugs, or a decorative plate that you hang on the wall. T-shirts, it depends, some could look too tacky, and then you end up not wearing them.

I guess I like tacky. I like soft faded jeans and teeshirts no matter how tacky.

I love photos. I also like to get a tote bag or purse with the name of the place on the bag. I use tote bags a lot when I travel and at home, so I like buying them as souvenirs. I started that when I went on a cruise and I saw a bag that I could use when we went on our diving excursion. I have been collecting them every since. People see them and always ask about them, and it helps that I find unique ones. You can see in my avatar that I am carrying a bag. I have an addiction, I think.

As mentionned above, you can now get your photo put onto almost anything including canvas tote bags.

I also like t-shirts, mugs, shot glasses, keychains, anything to hang on the wall... postcards, salt & pepper shakers, magnets... pictures most of all!

Everyone seems to love pictures. I knew a woman who had salt and pepper shakers...she had so many that she had 4 shelves that were each about 10" wide and 10 feet long and they were packed solid with shakers and sagging in the middle.

Whenever I travel I take lots of pictures. As a souvenir I enjoy collecting shot glasses and maybe even a t-shirt or two...
