It may or may not be a requirement(depending on ones religion), but some feel the need to make their relationships official. I think that if you are ready to settle down with someone, than why not marry that person as a way to confirm the strong feelings you have for them.

yes they can , i love being married but for some it would be easier not being married. some people live together a long time then it is called common law marriage so either way. As long as you are happy with the situation

A lot of people think that marriage is just a piece of paper, but I think it is a lot more than that. It is a promise to devote your life to that one person! I'm not a religious person, this is just how I feel about my own marriage. Too many people make that promise though and then end up breaking it!

Yes i feel two people can stay together without gettin married. It's just the way things r goin from the past that's why v have 2 continue that tradition.Nothin else. One more thing is thr if people start stayin together without gettin married then they can save a lot of money which otherwise they would have spent it on their weddin.

Of course, they can but it is not for me. Prime examples are Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn...they have lived together for more than a decade without the benefit of marriage. They are rare though...most of those who just live together, don't end up staying together. When there is no permanent connection, it it too easy to leave the relationship behind when you hit a rocky patch of time. Why work it out when you can just walk out?

Marriage is something very traditional, very holy. Marriage and children is something every person should experience and enjoy. Living together is not the proper way to show the love for one another. Marriage id marriage.

Marriage is the promise you make before GOD.According to my religion"A man and womam leaves father and mother and become one before God." Without marriage how will we be able to see our future healthy generation? Marriage is not an option, it is a precondition for social survival. Not everyone lives up to the marriage ideal in this or any civilization. But when a society abandons the marriage idea altogether as a shared public norm, do not expect private individuals to be able to sustain marriage.

Because for some religion, it's like one of the things that you have to do, like Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, matrimony and many more. So yeah, matrimoney is important to me, but for others, I think it's not but for most part, it is.

For me marriage is necessary. I would feel wrong living with a man I am not married to. My faith talks about one needing to be married and I want to respect and honor my faith.
