Most memorable place that you had been !!

tell us the most memorable and beautiful place you had been in our country (India). And why it became so memorable for you ??
let me start with : i had been to Malshej Ghat... this is valley in Sayadri ranges in western ghat region of India. Like wonder struck soul we stayed there without any contact with outside world... and enjoyed the moment when we are close to nature and realized for the first time Life is Beautiful !!

Malshej Ghat... well I do remember taht trip dude.. will always do that...
But apart from that, I still remember my trip to Ghatshila, the time i stood at Shanti Stupa and stared out into the vast open field where once the great battle of Kalinga is said to have been fought, the snow covered tracks to Rohtang Pass, the snow clad peaks that could be viewed from our college (in Sikkim) on a wet & clear winter morning, the trips to various places in rajasthan (a journey down the hallways of history, you know!!).
Too many memories..... to little space....
