Would you testify at a death penalty trial?

Regardless of how you feel about the death penalty, if you were called by the DA to testify, would you do so? How about when your testimony is the one that convinces the judge to sentence someone to death?

There are two things: One, is your own safety and the other is seeing justice done. My safety fear is , IF I testify and someone does die because of my testifying on them, will the others,. if any involved come after me? I,ve heard stories like that before. #2. If I KNEW what they did was utterly dreadful, then yes, I would take the risk and testify. He DOES have to pay for what he did.I believe that whatever people do, they should get in return whatever justice, or praise needed to them. Bad-Punishment Good-Praise

Thanks for answering. I didn't even think of the safety fear for this question. I know I would have if I had really gone to testify at any court case.
