Do like to be around straight-forward people or people that tell you what you

want to hear? You know, people that tell you what's on their mind in a decent appropriate way or someone that tells you something they think you want to hear? I prefer honest straight-forward people, the other just seem to end up talking about you behind your back?

If I'm asking, it's because I want to know. I can't stand suck-ups. They are spineless.

I'll take truth over flattery any day. I hate it when you can't trust someone's opinion because they always just tell you whatever it is they think you want to hear. What I WANT to hear is the TRUTH! I would not have asked for someone else's opinion if I didn't want to hear it!

I really like to be around with people that have their own opinions and are strong enough to voice them. If they just agree with me on things I will stop engaging them in conversation. It really bugs me when people agree with you just so they don't cause any commotion. I also don't like people being to straight-forward. I have a guitar buddy that will say things that he shouldn't and hurts people's feeling unnecessarily and calls it honesty. That doesn't go well with me either.

Straight forward people are never prone to gossiping because if they have something to say about you its always to you. These are the type of people i think you can trust and you know they will be lifelong friends. Also if you're constantly getting people telling you what you want to hear you end up having a god complex.

I like straight-forward people. But, they should be discerning about whether what they're saying will either hurt or help. I don't want someone to be criticising me all the time. But, I don't want someone to be fake, either.

I certainly don't like people who only tell me what I want to hear; they're no good for my soul, for a start. It's nice to be complemented, and most of us could do with more praise than we ever get, but I don't want dishonest complements either.

I prefer to hear it like it is even if the truth hurts. But I really don't think many people can handle the truth as Jack Nicholson would say. And I know that first hand. I have made people cry unintentionally, and I have felt bad about it. People just assumed because I was a laid back easy going person, that I was a pushover as well. Definitely, not the case.

may it be abad thing or good thing about me, i still prefer people that can say straight forward. i myself is a very frank and transparent person, that's why i also like people to treat me as one as well. it's more honest and for me graceful to know things straight from the person that concerns it rather having to think that i am with people that i thinks see as great but makes me a laughing stuff whenever i am not around. and besides, it's just stupid when people tell you that they really like you, that you're great then tell something that are opposite when you're not around just because they don't have the gutts to say it right in front of you.

I would much rather have someone tell me the truth. Don't sugar coat it, don't beat around the bush, just tell me. What I'm told might be hard to swallow at first, but I'd rather hear it from the get go, so to speak.
