What are some things you do to save time? Actually, theoretically, you cannot save time. It just passes by whether you like it or not. Time management is actually self management. http://www.slimtimer.com allows to keep track of how you spend your time. Try it. It's cool.

Certain activities can be done in a specified time, like one can have dinner in 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour. If you can complete it in 30 minutes, definitely you have saved 30 minutes. Many people waste time chitchatting with friends for hours. They can still keep talking to friends while doing some important household works like pressing the clothes, polishing the shoes etc. You said it right time management is actually self management.

Good comment. Thanks. Multi-tasking may help, but it takes away the focus from the task at hand.

I am guilty of multitasking all the time. If I am on the phone, I wlll be also downloading email, washing dishes, or sometimes folding laundry. I also try to schedule my activites in such a way that other activities can be taken car of without much grief, such as going to the laundrymat. I will also plan on dropping off my library books on the way as I pass by it on the way to the laundrymat.

I just list my 'THINGS-TO_DO', set the schedule and prioritize when to do and finish it. Time management is absolutely recommended to save time.
