is it good? if someone close to you does have this problem of self pity, what can you advice?
is it healthy? if that person never changes and still think himself as pityful and in such a feeling of painful situation, what is the best thing you can say?

Self pity is the worst feeling that a person can live with. It disables your ability to be happy and content because even accomplishments have no effect on your disposition. The best advice one could give a person who hides behind his/her self-pity would be "Help yourself to get pass on the misfortunes that hurt you, fight for yourself"..

I say self pity is a good thing but not too much of it. It is like self love, when there is no one out there express love toward u or take care of u or be there when u need them. humans to fullfill their need of love would try self pity. so it is a good thing.
There are people who talk to themselves cause there is no one else to talk to , so it comes back to the basic needs of humans

It's definitely not good, but I must admit that I do a small bit of wallowing from time to time.
It serves no good purpose, however.
