I´ve had 2 spam messages from somebody who made a request to be on my friend´s list some time ago. Never posts into my discussions (never mind, it´s up to her/him) but doesn´t hesitate to send me an IT scam site in order to get referrals. What do you think about this?

I am very wary now about accepting people as friends especially if they haven't even read a single discussion of mine, or they suddenly appear from nowhere with (0) because I did that once and as soon as I accepted them, in came the spam! I don't like spam FULL STOP and I know it sounds harsh but if I get spam I delete the friend if it's blatant, usually I will give them once chance. I never send Spam and don't want it in return.

You´re right, we shouldn´t have to put up with spam here. I don´t think you´re being harsh, just realistic. Thanks for answering, Wolfie.

I have had some friends on my list also who send me spam messages like that all of the time too. I haven't really sent out a whole lot of discussions to see if they are responding to them or not but I am starting to send a little more out now as I get the chance to do so. I don't think it is right for them to send stuff like that to us if we do not ask for it. I have sent messages to members here, but I only do it if they request something from me.

Sending pm to your friends here is perfectly ok as long as it´s not spam about joining some obvious IT scam. Thanks for answering, stephcjh.

I get a few also. I don't mind them sending me one message, but when I delete it and end up with another, I delete that friend.

I think that they are not a friend. Don't accept them. Good luck what you decide.

Well if you know who it is then delete them and set you E-Mail Box for Spam mail so it goes straight into the Spam Box and not into your Mailbox. I seem to get a lot of them but I have it set for Spam Mail so it goes straight in there and I just delete them.
