I gotta say I do! Children grow out of their clothes so fast its great if you don't have to spend so much money on their clothes. You have to search sometimes for the nicer stuff. I like the odds and ends also. Sometimes you can find real treasure. They are great for finding books too.

So do I or my mom does it for me and sends them over. I don't mind them at all. You can still find clothes that aren't worn out at all. Kids grow so fast, money should be spent on something else.

Thrift stores are a great place for play clothes/coats costumes tools/utensils small appliances I like old music and books I find there. And antiques often turn up there and you can turn a profit reselling.

Honestly, not really. WalMart Super Center is just around he corner and across the street. So if we need anything, that is the place we go. Every so often we go to my favorite store...Target...but that pretty much it. OK...the Wonder Bread store too because we go through so much bread in this house having 7 kids, it is just amazing. But my partner hates thrift stores. He thinks that if it is sold in a thrift store, then it must me crap because it is cheap. Trust me, I have tried to change his mind at times and have even gotten him to go into one every now and then. But that is it. He always has been a spoiled brat...and I tell him so too. ha ha

I don't mind shopping there. When I worked as factory labour, most of my clothes I bought from there and so when they got real dirty I just threw them away I didn't feel like throwing money out. I still go to dollar store for my house cleaning products.

I've always appreciated second hand shops and thrift stores. Being a single parent in the 70's it sure came in handy and nowadays kids like the big name brands so I'd say Shop Till You Drop At The Thrift Store because there will come a time It just won't cut it. Thanks for the Post.

I love to save money. Frugal is me. We should all do this to recycle and help save the environment. It is only right to do.

I shop at them if there are no Church Rummage sales or flea markets to go to. Library books sales are also the places I go for books. Church and library sales often are bag sales and we do quite nicely on the cheap. Nice things are to be found at all of these and while I love a thrift store, my needs are well met at the rummage sales and flea markets and library book sales.

I LOVE thrift store shopping, for me it's like a slice of heaven. I'm a big addict. When I can afford it, I love to go thrift store hopping (going to several thrift stores in one day) but lately I've been to broke to even go to one and it's making me really sad. My favorite is called RAD. On Saturdays, they have a sale where everything under a dollar is half off and anything above a dollar is 30 percent off. I've gotten so many wonderful things... As a mother of 3 growing boys, buying clothes from thrift stores has been a lifesaver and my kids are always well dressed. I've found stuff with tags, stuff that's rarely used, name brands, etc! I love buying books too, at RAD, the mass market paperbacks are .13 cents each! There are a few other thrift stores I like in town too. I like the Goodwill and the Salvation Army but they are higher priced then some of the other thrift stores in town. Another one called Best Value is wonderful for getting clothes for my kids because they mark down their clothing every week. So yes I do shop at thrift stores and I love every minute of it. :)

I browse them, I can't say I actually buy things really. I've never really found anything there that I really like. I'll probably continue to browse every now and then though.

I do shop at thrift stores for sure! i'd go broke buying baby clothes if i didn't! my goodness she grows way too fast. i know a few parents who only buy brand new clothes for their kids, i think that's foolish! unless you know your going to have a few kids and they can use them more then once!

I shop at thrift shop. I don't usually buy clothes that i know that i can buy at a lesser price. it is better to shop at thrift shop cause you know you will not get broke and will still have some money left on your savings.

yep, it's like guiltless shopping coz i get to buy more for less. and i also love book fairs coz i get to have quality books for less price and we're able to get the great books which are usually classic books that we don't find in bookshops. i don't go for brands and i don't see the point of spending a fortune for something that i can get for a discounted rate.

Yes, I do!! Especially for kids clothes, they outgrow them so fast they hardly mess them up. Well most of them anyway. So why pay high prices when you can get them gently used in most cases for a much lower price. I love to dig in the boxes, you never know what you'll find, and usually all those things are priced so so cheap.

We dont have a thrift store here but I do shop at the GoodWill and also yardsales. Not only do I find good stuff for my kids but I buy alot of my clothes there too! You can find really good name brandstuff there. Sometimes I even buy stuff just to put on ebay and make money that way. There is nothing wrong with it :)

No, I can't stand to wear something that has previously been worn by someone else.
