Would you take care of your old mother or grandmother/father/grandfather?

And why? Or would you prefer they stay in an old folk's home... who do you want to take care of you when you grow old? I wouldn't mind helping out in taking care of our old because I would want the same when I'm old.

Naturally, being an Asian, I am raised to the possibility of living together with my parents until the day they die. When I get married, it is possible that my husband will have to move in, especially in a case where I am the only child. So, basically taking care of my parents/grandparents/great grandparents is still acceptable although it's getting not necessarily common nowadays. As for me, surely I'd prefer to be independent when I get married and not sharing the same house. But, in the case where my parents need my help to take care of them, I'll try to stay as close as possible. And although it's not easy to understand, sometimes the old folks can find much better enjoyment in the nursery and that's why they choose to do so. They know they're loved, but they just want to live their own life their way.
