What if myLot stopped paying? Would you still use it?

If you didn't get any money for posting or responding to discussions would you still be on here? Are you here just for the money or do you genuinely enjoy being part of the myLot community?

I would probably abandon it for the most part. Message boards/forums aren't really my thing any more. I might gain a little more interest if some of the spammers, and foreigners (with horrible illiterate english) were to leave.

I'm not so bothered by non-English speakers although sometimes I'm really struggling to understand what they are trying to say. The spammers just really bug me though. I'm not a big fan of message boards/forums in general and normally use them only for business purposes but I must admit I've got quite into using myLot so I would stick around I think. Yes there is a lot of repeat topics. I don't mind if it's a slightly different take on a subject but there's only so many times you can work up enthusiasm for "what colour are your eyes/hair" etc!

Another problem, well for me, is that a lot of things are getting repeated. I know some people could respond to the same discussions all day, but I don't like it.

If myLot stopped paying me and the other "myLotters" I'd go on connecting on this forum because I love communicating with people and myLot is really wonderful, because you can share opinions with people from the whole world. I have the subscription to many Italian forums and in my country forum never pay anything, and yet I always send messages even if they don't pay me. So, if I didn't get any money I'd be on here also because I can improve my bad English and I can receive message in English language.

I think I would keep using it because I enjoy "meeting" people on here that otherwise I would never get the chance to talk to. I just find it really interesting plus I've also made some good friends on here too.

Hmmm, good question. I enjoy reading others opinions on the same topics I'm interested in. But let's face it...having some pocket change doesn't hurt either!

i just want to say the answer of mine just is sure, i'll still use mylot if it stopped paying, here i can make lots of new friend, i can express my true feelings and when i meet troubles i also can search some help from here, for there are lots of kindhearted gugs here who would like to provide their help to me. All those are the reason that i would stay!

Your English doesn't look like it needs any improvement anyway but I can imagine that myLot will be good practice for people learning the language.

I wouldn't be on nearly as much as I am if it didn't pay, but I wouldn't stop coming on here. I'm here for the conversation mostly and I've met some really amazing people on here.

Very good question. I might still come and answer some discussions but certainly not with this frequency. I feel discussions as well as money both are incentives for all of us to be here.

Yes I think both are good incentives although I suspect the quality of the discussions would improve if money wasn't involved. I'm not suggesting every discussion should be "serious" - I quite enjoy some of the more trivial ones and let's face it - this one isn't really earth shatteringly important is it? I just don't like all the spamming and meaningless answers and I think that would disappear if money wasn't involved. Thanks for your response.

I am just starting here... I am a regular user of Yahoo Answers. I posted a question about ways to earn extra income, and somebody recomended mylot to me. I am starting to understand this site more, and I realize I wont be making a bunch of cash here. I think I would still use it but initally it was the extra money!

I've never used Yahoo Answers but I've heard it's quite a good site. I hear about people making loads of money on here but personally I don't. There again I don't spend that much time on here. Thanks for your response - welcome to myLot!

Yes I think it generally works well on here and extra money is always nice. I believe there are other similar sites to myLot around but I'm not a member of any others. Spend enought time on myLot! Thanks for your response.
