Why do banks have branches?

I think banks have branches because its for the convinience to the people to interact with the bank,so it have many branches.

Lol! the discussion is quite goofy - Anyhow, banks had branches for not having inconvinience between them and their customers, they had branches in diffrent area's because people can easily withdraw their money through franchise. According to me this is the only reason why they have branches and yes want to add one more thing 'randomly' the ATM of every branch plays an important role for the bank and their customers, this is the short summary why bank have branches!

I took this more of a joke, and that was pretty funny! I might just got tell a few friends this tomorrow. I think many banks have branches to try and make things easier for everyone.
