Would you rather drive so you can enjoy the scenery and the quality time in the car. Maybe listening to music and stopping to picnic or eat in a restaurant you've never been to. Or would you like the convenience of flying on an airplane that will get you there so much faster. You would have people waiting on you and you could sleep or relax with a good book or enjoy a cocktail. What is your choice?

A lot of the times I just drive. It is not that I hate flying, I love it, but with Airplane rules and prices being the way they are I just cannot afford it.

first, i am terrified of flying and will not do it...besides, i love to drive, look at the scenery, and if i see somewhere i want to stop and spend some time, driving makes it possible..i dont care about getting there fast, i want to be able to experience the beauty and the opportunity to stop along the way for things i see..

My last trip to NY by airplane took 10 hours insted of less than 2. I made my mind to drive next time. I have to fly to Europe, but in States I preferr to drive.

honestly i love to drive and watch the scenery, so i would rather take the extra time to drive. I have flown to Florida from PA, and that is just too stressful, checking in the baggage, sitting and waiting for the plane, sitting in those little cramped seats and the small bathrooms, just does not seem worth it to me.

i would choose to drive. ive flown a few times and although i have never experienced any mishaps (except for the plane being late), i still feel much more comfortable in a car. im a bit of a security freak, and the idea of an accident taking place in midair, with little chance of escaping, bugs me a lot. and of course, it doesnt help that im fond of watching national geographic channel, with one of their programs called "air crash investigation". it even made my travel-loving sister extremely wary of planes.lol!

I'd like to drive rather than fly. If I go on a trip, it's to a place that I can get to in a car and that's just the way it is. I like to look at scenery, and I like knowing that half my vacation is something that I always like to do.. drive.

It depends. If your going on a family vacation I would say fly. You will get their faster, and start vacationing sooner. Parents don't like to drive with fighting kids who are tired from driving for 9 hours, hehe. But if it is somewere you could get to in a few hours, drive! Like you said you will get wonderfull quaility time.

Drive! Absolutely! I love cars, traveling an so...driving. Last summer I drove for 890Km from Milan (Italy) to Empuriabrava (Espana) stopping only three times. We found a lot of traffic in Perpignan (France), a lot ... we did 70Km in 4 hours. It was exhausting but I enjoyed it a lot. Me, my car, my friends, my music and the holidays! There's nothing better! Oh... we've done 890Km in 16 hours (damn traffic!) but when we'd get back we did it in only 10 hours. Yeah, speed!

I guess it would totally depend on where I was going and how fast I had to get there and how long I had to spend. I really hate flying! But if it meant that I could spend 5 days on the beach vs. 2, I would fly. If I had as long as I wanted I would rather drive and enjoy the scenery and maybe stop somewhere and see other interesting stuff. I always wanted to see the world's biggest ball of twine. :)

I am terrified of flying. Besides that, I am not really a fan of the idea of traveling with children on an airplane. I would rather go on a road trip where I can put them in a car and we can stop and get out if need to. We are driving to Iowa this summer instead of flying. We will need a rental car, but it's cheaper than an airline ticket, and I think it will be easier for my family. SIpping a cocktail on a plane in my world is something I can't even imagine. I would be wrangling kiddos and avoiding mean looks from the other airline travlers.

I love to fly. Long as it's a quiet flight with minimal turbulence. A soda, an in-flight movie, a nap. I like to soak in the scenery in the car, but I find it's better to take a train to really be able to enjoy it and to minimalize traffic. On the other hand, when the plane clears the clouds and you look down at the rolling mashed potato surface below you and the sun so very bright ...gorgeous.

Unless its a real long drive I would rather drive. I really dont like flying and I prefer driveing because I'm always in control of where we are going. I dont care for the bus or the train because your rideing with a lot of people you would rather not know. When driveing you can stop when you want, turn off when you want and generally have more freedom. Take care!!

If I have to cboose between going through an aeroplane or by a car on a trip and the trip is to hilly or mountain regions then I would love to go by car. I love the sceneries, waterfalls, I can even stop by according to my own wish at a highway restaurant and have lunch, dinner or supper whatever I like to. Travelling by car has its own freedom. A trip without freedom of mind is worthless according to my opinion. People plan trips to relax.
