In our country, solar energy is becoming more popular, for electricity and for hot water. But the cost of having the equipment is still rather expensive. There are other ways to use solar energy as well. Depending on the region, and the climate, facing the front of the house to the south, in the winter months, can take advantage of the solar energy to warm the house during the day, and the useing the stored heat in the evening. And in the summer months, a proper overhang will keep the suns rays out of the house. Until the cost of the solar panel comes down in price, the average home owner will not be able to afford refitting the house for solar power. We are also using the winds energy to produce electrical power for some communities across the country as well.
