That is so special. Thank you for sharing. My kids have some special needs also, though not the same type. It just does you heart good to see them happy. And yes, I'm proud of mine even when he can smile! Which somedays is alot for him to do.

He has a very rare degenerative (sp) disorder. They have told me 1 in 10 - 20 million. He just keeps regressing. But he can still smile - and so that is amazing to me and warms my heart!!

very touching, you're a great mom. I will share this to my co parents here, for am a parent of a blind kid. as a parent, we all must be proud of our kids achievements in life not only in school but in all aspect of their growth. giving orappreciating simple things of our childs effort will develop self confidence in them that they can use as the grow and mature. we must be keen in listening to them, sometimes kids teaches us parents about life. my blind son do... His daily actions and words encourages me to go on in life specially when I have problems. seeing a blind son happy in life makes me understand why complain about pains in life this kid cannot see yet he is full of life and hopes

thanks for saying I'm a great mom! There's a lot of times I don't think so, esp with house work! How did your child become blind? Was he born blind? Yes, children do teach us alot! keep in touch about your son, I enjoyed learning just this little bit about him!

This is lovely mytwo_daughters and not only are you proud of your lovely daughters, but they too should be proud of their mother. The fact that Abagail does overcome some of the hurdles put in her way is a sure sign that she is encouraged and supported by her parents and sister. Yes, we too are proud of our son and have always told me so too. I think that children should be aware of how we feel about them as this encourages them to try to do their very best plus lifts their self-esteem, which is so important if they are going to grow up to be confident young people ready to take their place in the adult world. Give your 2 darling girls lots of kisses and cuddles every day and continue to tell them how much you love them and are proud of them. :)

I will thank you. They are so crabby when they get up in the morning though. Becca feels I should let abby just walk to school, but it is getting quite cold now. We have all of Feb, and probably March of cold weather. It really has not been that bad! *LOL* I read Abby her ode that I wrote. She grinned from ear to ear. I am proud of both of them. They make me so proud, even when they climb into bed with us...*S*

A gift to Abigail would also be to tell her that she can be proud of herself, for all these wonderful things. Aren't daughters great!

yes, they really are....esp when they run into the hurdles and obstacles that she has met, and has taken head on, and overcome adversities in her life. She is the best!
