Legality of TV shows through Torrents

I was basically tricked into paying a subscription service to download torrents. My computer wasn't fast enough to use iTunes. Now that I have it, I have downloaded two TV shows that I have missed. Is this legal? The site I downloaded them from says there are no illegal files, but does that mean I can download them? I just want to see the shows I missed.
