"The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are Vanity." What is your opinion about this verse, what do you think it tells us? Do you know where it is in the Bible?

I will guess Song of Solomon, or Ecclesiastes. I will look it up for you in a jiffy. I basically take it that when we think, as humans, that we are so great, we are being vain, and flattering ourselves. Our plans, schemes, and deeds are just empty and shallow. Okay, so I was wrong, that is Psalms 94:11, and the equivalent meaning of vanity in this case is "Breath". I have New American Standard Version Bible. You probably are quoting King James Version. Which I also have, just not near the computer.

Thank You! Yes it is Psalms 94:11, How is Breath? Sorry, I know that words have different meanings in the bible, How did you know breath. My husband teaches me the bible and he tells me the meaning of different words, I thought he was the only one that ever did that and I was just wondering how you did. Thanks.
