After watching the movie The Holiday last night, I was enlightened.
I have been single off and on and have always wanted to find myself an American guy.
I lived in the US for a total of 7 years and I have dated some and I really prefer them better than Filipino guys. So I've been on the lookout online for over a year now and I've had some good finds but nothing has turned out from them. A lot of them sweet talk you and then end up just being perverts with no plans of meeting you. I'm learning more and more though of what kind of man I really want and watching this movie last night, I found myself really attracted to the character of Jude Law. He's sweet, a single dad who loves his kids so much. You could almost see right through him and he's not afraid to say what's on his mind. Is there anyone out there like him? Someone who will really fall in love, with all the romance and nothing extra-ordinary. I'm tired of the perverts who are into things I don't even wish to do... and trust me, these are things I'm sure most girls don't do. I can be fun, but not weird like the girl they want. Anyway, I want someone who will love me for me, who will love my children and everything about me... no games...

Then you should play no games. Being Amercian I would not necessarily think an American guy is really what you want. They are nothing like the movies overall. We have some good guys however the culture being different am not sure if you would be happy in the long run. You are good to want someone that will love you for you and wants and likes children. Go to those places where those kind of guys tend to go and you might find your desire!

Well I never play games unless the guy wants that LOL but I'm sure it's an American man I want because when I lived in the US for 7 years I dated some and can really compare them to guys here, my only mistake was for trusting someone here too soon. I know movies are just movies and there are good guys and a lot of bad guys nowadays. I'm pretty much Americanized so the culture wouldn't be a problem.

Good thing you posted about that movie because i have it here and havent watched it..
Well sis,we have the same dream.meeting a man from abroad who will accept us and our children..Its not that we dont like filipinos but our own race dont like single moms.they think about us as burdens even if we are financially stable..so i did try those dating sites where men can meet women.but I just got tired because as u have said a lot are perverts who likes exploring things beyond our imagination,conservatives that we are.
I too want someone who will love and accept me and my child..I am not asking for a rich guy but someone who will love me with all his heart..
